He might have concussion and thinks he still plays for Sunderland !. Hope he is alright though canny player for us.
If we can't have a wry chuckle at our rivals what's the point any more? I find it a bit bizarre that there is constant moaning (not singling you out Bri, many people have said it) that the board is dying, not active enough, etc. But when someone posts something the response is, essentially, "don't bother"... At least Hefty is trying!
The Op didn't joke. I presumed he'd been posting on the mag board recently what with Yedlin and posted it in the wrong place. Had he took the piss there'd have been no confusion. But it's been presented like it's off serious interest to Sunderland. I don't get the thread then. Bah humbug
Not knocking ya statement Somb but is that in the Championship? Can he cut it in the big league? I seem to recall he wasnt popular initially and I dont think that had anything to do with playing for us. Has he improved?
As we haven't won 11 games in Championship and he certainly hasn't started more than about half of them (that's an educated guess) it presumably includes cup games and the end of last season in the Premiership. No he hasn't improved. He's a squad player for a midtable Premiership side or a first teamer for relegation strugglers/ a decent championship side. He's not first XI for us now. He wasn't unpopular it's just many worried he was the Cabaye replacement (which it turned out he was). That's not his fault but certainly meant his "average at best" performances highlighted another money making summer. He hasn't done much wrong and seems to always try, but he hasn't done much at all really. The entire history Sunderland to Newcastle element is a good story for the papers but i don't think many fans view him much better or worse for it because he's just so eminently average and forgettable.
you could have saved yourself a lot of time and effort, by simply saying, he is a ginger **** and below average
Aye, last eleven games. He's still not my most favourite player, but he does do a job. I'll tell you what is good though, going to games and actually looking forward to it. Long time since I've done that.
He was extremely popular initially, did brilliantly in his first game for us vs Man City and was very good that season; only missed out on the England call up through injured. His popularity nosedived last season though, with the utter dross he was churning out every week, massively disappointing after his first season. This season started off poor, but he's adjusted quickly to the championship and a decent player for us - top of championship/lower prem is clearly his level, and I can't see another England call up anytime soon. Rafa seems to like Colback lots and he seems to be one of his first choices on the team sheet, which is disappointing for me, as it means Isaac Hayden is ending up on the bench most of the time these days, and Hayden is a far better player imo.
