Seriously though, this group appears to be growing in momentum and have some belief that they can win against the odds, rather than using adversity as an excuse. When was the last time we could say that about a Leeds team? Progress?
Beginning to wonder how far we can go this season in all competitions. I can't remember how long it is since I felt that way. Just remembered It's my birthday in forty minutes so that was a lovely pressie
Happy birthday mate and I eckon the last time we did this and bossed and fought and were together, was under Grayson in L1 & promotion squad
Very happy to have been proved wrong on this occasion. Somehow through strength of will and desire the players plucked victory from defeat and we haven't seen that very often in the last decade or so. The crowd were ecstatic at the end, I've never seen so many kids with smiles on their faces and proud to be Leeds. Now we have a happy and united squad all pulling together which is bloody fantastic.
Given we are on a roll and there is a lot of goodwill, we could even get you to come for a tour as well, first time for everything n all
Sometimes we can be a bit cynical as we get older, especially where Leeds are concerned. We were awful for the first 20 mins, defense was all over the place, no cohesion and it looked like Norwich would stroll through to the next round. Fortunately over 22K kept the faith and didn't get on the players backs which definitely helped. One of the best occasions at ER for ages and only cost me £8.
Happy Birthday, Kevin, old boy! A good excuse to drink your own weight in beer - and on the back of a great win too!
