Feck that...I was going to be all balanced and **** but Astro's job is hard work...can I not at least just come on and talk the same **** I do here?
So if I disagree I am wrong and if I agree I am wrong? I have made many comments about Sturridge, the first on here was about 3 months after you bought him when I stated I had never seen such an improvement in a player (remember that?) I have more recently commented on his present attitude, he never smiles (or at least didn't until his last League Cup game) and just looks very unhappy with being at the club. I put this down to being out of the first team and sulking at the manager, now I am starting to wonder if his problem is with another first team player or players (clique) as he seems happy enough to do the balloon man dance when scoring in the cup but doesn't celebrate at all when scoring in the league (even with a smile).
Nice poachers finish by Studge.. a skuff and then a half decent effort from outside the box.. They had more ball, but their forwards header aside, the did little with it.. Other than that, 1st half was a bit of a nothing half. 2nd half much better, esp. from us.. was a period of the game where we should have put them away, a bit like West Brom (should also have learnt from last year that 2-0 leads aren't that safe for us.. a 3rd goal would killed the game off!) Pen was soft but to be honest, Lucas should have known better, after 4 or 5th prod I don't blame Lamela going down! Led to a nervy ending which it should never have been, still a decent run out for a few fringe players and youngsters. Was impressed by Stewart, kept it simple, won the ball and gave it.. Ejaria grew into the game, Grujic showed some good touches and TAA has promise.. For me, Origi stood out, if he can play like that week in week out add some goals, we've got one hell of a player, big, powerful, quick, decent touch, just needs to build on this and force himself into the side..
You're just like Sturridge: it's all about you lol... I meant we were told (you seem to be admitting you did too) that we were a one man team that would suffer without Suarez that start of season...Sturridge saved us...like tonight.... But the signs of post Suarez were there...all 1-0's. He's wasteful..not just in his own chances...not a great ratio...but in his choices..he'll pass it wider (if at all) to ensure the return pass etc.....an accusation I levelled rightly at Suarez when he first came...we got rid of it with him and now look at him at barca...(Although I'd reference Jimmy and the better team mate scenario from earlier) Strikers need ego to do their job..my argument is that Sturridge still hasn't got the balance right on the field ...where it matters...he seems to be looked up to off the field..I watched Stirling, Ibe and Sinclair pal about with him over the previous years...tell me? Where are they now? (In Liverpool terms..I'll allow Stirling has eventually got better again..is it because he's no longer thinking he's the man without the effort??)..and where is Sturridge?... klopp may have weaknesses but attack is apparently not it....and Sturridge is managing to get to LC level according to Klopp...
Any thoughts on my idea of a problem with team mates? he does look happier playing with the cup team to me.
He was close to both Sterling and even more so Ibe who have obviously both moved on so potentially lost his two best mates in last couple years.
Neither could I I just find it strange that someone sees something as blue that everyone else sees as red
