I recall watching Swansea 'Town' at Roker Park in the early 1960's.
Sunderland had been relegated for the first ever time in 1958.

Anyway I recall the Swans playing in all white with orange stockings (well, what else!) heh heh.. and great players such as Mel Charles and Mel Nurse..

Superb stroll down memory lane andersonhurleymcnab. How much of a magpie are you? If you`ve got these, then you must have a shed full of stuff related to other teams.

Tremendous stuff mate and hope that your team does you proud this season. Best of luck.

What a breath of fresh air this thread is. Thanks a lot for taking the time and trouble to produce such great memorabilia.

Thanks, for this. Now that was one great Swans team, other that Dai "Bloody" Davies, he was crap. Dave Stewart was miles better than him.

Yes, I should engage the brain before speaking, or in this case typing.

Apologies andersonhurleymcnab, wasn`t thinking when I typed it. <doh> <sorry>

cheers for that anderson - i was one of the jacks there 1-0 to the swans but one of your forwars had a one on one with dai davies right at the end, went to chip it and lobbed it harmlessly into dais hands- outside the ground my mate picked up a sunderland scarf thrown away in disgust!
i have a lot of time for the north east fans- the geordies gave us a great welcome when we were there in the cup many moons a go and i remember celebrating with mackems in a club in blackpool - 1981- we had beaten preston to go up and you had beaten liverpool at anfield to stay up - good times and now we can do it again!
