My fair and reasoned analysis of Arsenal's fortunes, which after February and March seemed almost prophetic in its accuracy did infact get me banned from the Arsenal board very unfairly. You think that making reference to Spurs and ONLY Spurs in your 'forum face' points toward you being an Arsenal fan ? Good luck mate
I truly hope Southampton do well in the Europa league this season. They've earned their place in there after years of having their best players poached by other clubs, us included. I don't think there's any 'standout' players at Southampton at the moment who are likely to be snapped up by any of the big clubs, but this could mean that they can build on their solid foundation, without losing any more players or managers !
The fact that you're struggling to understand that reference, seems to be indicative of your general inability to understand the bleedin' obvious
I've missed this thread! I hear that Pixie has admitted to being a closet Spurs fan! Is that true? I must say, it doesn't come as any surprise to me.
Alderwiereld is slowly picking up the plaudits now he should have had at his time at Saints. 11 million for him truly was an amazing pice of business. As you say the further up the pitch you play results in much louder praise.
It's actually been before our eyes the entire time, H. I feel like I did when I saw the end of The Usual Supects From this we can only infer that he is A) Obsessed with spurs or B) Supports Spurs with every morsel of his being My money is on that both are true
And right on cue, Chuckle brother No 2 turns up to make the same failed wum attempt, almost the instant Chuckle brother No 1 has been done.
He's skirting the issue, H, having realised his game is up. If he is an Arsenal supporter (which we have been given ample evidence to roundly doubt) it is clear that spurs are more so at the forefront of his mind, so in a sense I suppose we can argue day and night as to whether he can ever really be considered an Arsenal fan
Funny how Saints and HIAG seem to be the only ones not to be able to grasp the concept of a tongue in cheek reference to Spurs in my caption, not actually being a reference to me being a fan of said club. The way they've taken the comment to literally, could be cited as an example of evidence of Autistic behaviour, but I won't go down that route
It is said that we, each of us, emulate the things that we either fear or love the most. Pixie will not be immune to this phenomenon.
Anyway, Ballon-dor and back on topic. Does anybody else think that Alexis Sanchez should have been on that list ? He was nominated last year, I'm surprised not to see him on the list this year.
I can't say that i'm surprised Pixie. I not to say that I don't think he's a good player (he's superb, world class at times) just that I think his 2016 has been up and down, not consistent enough to be named in the top 30. Edit; Ozil is the one i'm surprised with.
Again, the way that you've taken that comment literally could be construed as evidence of Autistic behaviour. I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt and think that you're playing dumb on purpose ..... but you never know with you.
Sanchez had a long year with the Copa America and came back a bit knackered. He's the type of player who wants to play 90 mins at full tilt in every game, so it's not surprising that he wore himself out. He's been flatter this year than last, but I think in the last few weeks we've seen him getting back to his best. Ozil is a class act, all round. He does most of his work quietly, but he is involved in almost everything that Arsenal do creatively. He's also started scoring goals consistently now.
