    Sunderland away fans were shocked by their treatment at London stadium on Saturday.

    The Sunderland Echo says Sunderland fans had to run a gauntlet of threats and intimidation as they left the London Stadium after their last-gasp 1-0 defeat yesterday by West Ham United, it has been claimed.

    Posts on social media have reported that small groups of visiting fans - even young and the elderly - were singled out by a hardcore of home supporters intent on trouble at the 60,000-capacity stadium.

    One fan posted on the Ready To Go (RTG) Sunderland fans' forum: "For the first time in what seems years I felt afraid today. The stewards outside the ground after the game did not seem to know what they were doing.

    "At one point myself and other Sunderland supporters were pushed towards West Ham fans who were lashing out at us, and it was the intervention of the police who stopped it getting any worse."

    sad to see it happen nowadays, just goes to show that thuggery at certain clubs is still rife if its allowed.
    Just curious as to when the FA will do anything about it, and the FA is the football association not fukc all!!

    Tomorrow should be 'interesting' with over 5000 Chelsea fans going.

    The FA really should be acting. Though something tells me it will take serious disorder to happen before they do.

    I think it has happened at all of West ham's home games this season, and the Chelsea league cup game could be dodgy. They cannot handle the size of ground/crowd, far too big for them anyway. On another note I bet if Millwall ever wanted to build a 50,000 + stadium they would get turned down.

    They had a massive board at Upton Park ark end of last season, if you can find any video of them attacking opposite end to where away fans used to sit you can see it
