I would happily be there to see us knock Hull out after what happened at Wembley, but the travel costs alone would be over £150

Charlie Nicholas expects city to turn over Hull in his predictions today.

a 1 litre plastic bottle might be a substitute!

if Hull were in top 6 might add another 1000 or so..13000+
Motorways are a joke at the moment.. took me almost 11 hours to get to Burnley and back today M6 HAS ALMOST 30 MILES OF ROAD WORKS M5 has approaching 20 MILES not been on the m1 for a week or 2 but last time to Nottingham a few miles on M42 and also short section of M1 .. NIGHT CLOSURES always have diversions it seems
Winding down from todays "stress" likely I will just be going to bed!

To be fair it's getting like this for lots of games for me now. I'm 25, I have a very decent job for my age, but despite that, with how bloody difficult it is to try and buy a place at our age, forking out £30-£50 per home game and sometimes over £100 per away game just isn't justifiable. I love city, I will always support them whether they're successful or not, but life takes priority for me I'm afraid.

I do agree which is why my son rarely goes today with a mortgage and a young family- Even though we have season tickets, a home game still involves a 180 mile round trip and half a tank of petrol to go.

you need to change your vehicle then gd ..yesterday I did 440 miles averaged 49.8mph WAS IN over 100 miles of road works, travelled 4 miles in an hour pre j29 M6 and used 37 litres of fuel ..my back up vehicle ... a Renault Megane Scenic! its diesel by the way .... runs on bio or veggie oil .. at about 60 - 70% (diesel) / 40 .... to be fair the journey only had 18 -20 miles of non motorway ....
but do understand the problems of todays values ... houses etc ... I had my first mortgage at 20 along with 2 kids before 21 monthly payment was £24. 16s. 0d, a weeks wages was £20.10s .0d and I don't know how much it cost to get in the open end have a pie and tea, but you could buy ....... 3 galls of petrol for a £, ..... or 12 pints of courage best! for a £ .... that was about 1967 ...

    petrol 1967 6s 4d a gall 2016 petrol = ? £5.50p .. 16 TIMES MORE !
    WORKERS WAGE £400 NOW = x 20+ more !

Thanks RR-Didn't know that it was only 1%- Think we missed 2 games last year. Been all home league games this, evening games can be a bit tight. I must admit I admire people who go away every week too. We try to get to at least 1 a year but there are several that go all the time.

Not sure about the Open End but I think the tickets to the '71 LC Semi v Spurs in the old Enclosure were 10 Shillings for an Adult (my Uncle) and 6 Shillings for a Juvenile (me).
Some would say that despite being 56 I'm still that same Juvenile mentally <laugh>

I can remember paying 2/6 to get in the open end in the early 60's, with regards to my mental state, just an average City fan, the same as angelic..:D

Think we all go through that stage, I used to go all the time when I was young. Then the house and then kids put a stop for a few years. But once you get through that bit you can then start to go more often. Now I'm season ticket holder and feel gutted about not going tonight. I think if I wasn't up at silly o'clock this morning I would of changed my mind and gone.
