LOL. Jim was their chief economist and co-owner of the firm. He and Gillem had some policy disagrements, the details of which I'm not privy to, and he joined another firm. I found it strange that nobody at GMT had heard of Camsing or Greater China PS. GMT has been in HK for over 15 years and Gillem travels all over China and the Far East. Hmmm?
Yes, and the worry is that they own I think it was 80% of Nice, I just hope that reason from them being the preferred bidder is that the Allams are not going to keep a minority shareholding, or stay owners of SMC.
Maybe if he takes over we can do a similar thing to the Watford Chairman did with (was it Lazio or something.)..
Well Nice have Balotelli. In fact they have some very good players in positions we don't need to strengthen. Their goalkeeper, Mor's Hassan, is very good, as is cm Valentin Eysseric.
Bit weird to mention Duffen isnt it? I think from memory, I could be wrong, that he himself declared he was only ever a broker to a deal and was never going to be involved long-term. He's done his job and Im sure he's been handsomely paid.
He was definitely angling for the Chief Exec role - "If I did come to play a role going forward then it would be great for me personally but that's not my priority right now. My priority is to make sure the club finds a good new home and to help the owners in any way I can to find that candidate."
Paul Duffen ends his involvement in Hull City takeover talks please log in to view this image Former Hull City chairman Paul Duffen is no longer involved in the talks between the Tigers and a Chinese consortium, according to reports. Duffen, who was chairman when Hull City won promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history in 2008, was pictured at North Ferriby United's Eon Visual Media Stadium for a Hull City reserves game last month accompanied by Chien Lee (pictured below). Lee was part of the consortium introduced to the Allam family by Duffen with regard to the possible sale of the club. please log in to view this image Lee, of New City Capital, are believed to be in pole position to buy the club with a fee of £130m reported last week. No reason has been given for Duffen's removal from the negotiations at this stage. Perhaps his role was to simply introduce the two parties and let them get on with negotiations. Any deal to buy the Tigers needs to be passed by the premier League who have their 'Fit and Proper Persons' check on any potential buyers. That could take weeks, maybe even months. Therefore, any deal is not likely to be concluded this side of Christmas. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/paul...9838580-detail/story.html#HGtAcehzBqEaV1yz.99
That last sentence may well determine our hopes of staying up. If significant funds aren't available in January our chances look bleak.
Is there a dossier detailing Dr Jim's role in improving, or otherwise, the KCOM atmosphere? This cloak of silence needs to stop.
Yeah, that's the problem. I've said all along, it's going to be done about two days after the transfer window closes.
