CUP GAMES ARE unpredictable, and at the moment City is far from being a settled entity it is one of those games we could win lose or draw .. penalties would be interesting!

    That's the operative word.

Early on in the season, we showed some promise, but we've certainly not maintained it.

Feel free to post your views on our board, I think many of us have a lot of time and respect for you after meeting up at Wembley. <ok>

That went down as my worst day ever following my club over the last 35+ years.

Windass was right in front of me when he hit that volley,i said to the guys with me that is in,as soon as it left his boot.
A goal to win any game.
But Wembley when you lose such a big game is a horrible place to be.

I have never, ever felt so down after a game.
In a season where we threw away automatic promotion when in pole position.

Maybe our time has come again
If so, lets hope Steve has learned the lessons of the past about forcing us over the line with intelligent and courageous purchases

Funnily enough on the day I did not expect us to win - I felt far worse when we lost to Brighton in Cardiff

Hard to tell what's going to happen tonight until you see what sort of teams each side will put out - I'm expecting Tammy to be rested?

That really wasn't a good day either and a very odd team selection from Danny Wilson.
Another bad one was losing to Stoke at Wembley.

If we have designs on winning tonight then I'd hope that Tammy will play some part....?

I'd be gob smacked if Tammy starts tonight. Think Wilbs, ROD, Moore, Brownhill and O'Dowda will all start as well and possibly Engvall

Wilbs and Engvall up front would result in a massive lack of mobility. A strikeforce built for lumping it forward.

'Funnily enough on the day I did not expect us to win'

It was over the minute Orr got injured followed by the worst change and substitution ever.
Father, unbelievably, moved the best midfielder in the Championship that season to RB.
And brought Junior on in midfield ensuring we'd never get back in the match.
    Game over.

I expect Tammy to be selected tonight.
Junior, quite rightly in my view, is out go further in this competition.

Think LJ needs to sort it out and tell the players it's 90 minutes not 20.
Why can we only turn it on for a third of the game?

To be quite honest we went out from the start with a second string team playing.

Hull were different gravy for the majority of the game.
They were more direct, carved us open at will.
They were much quicker going forward.
A side that has lost there last five games on the bounce.
    The difference was huge.
The club did not put the strongest side out tonight, possibly the league is more important.
In my opinion a wasted chance to progress in the competition.

    Little,Bryan,Reid poor games struggled tonight.

Engvall looked good for his first proper run out.

At centre half young Taylor Moore was quality.

Excellent crowd of 16000 expecting a possible upset.
Sorry Lee I thought we would have gone for the win tonight.
Tonight was a big opportunity missed.

You do realise that we play in red and Hull were in Amber don't you? Our reserves more than matched them. I give you that we conceded two sloppy goals but I'm not giving you that the difference was huge. We could have got(and almost did) something out of the game. Happy with the changes tonight. Disappointed with the result but the youngsters look good and as for Reid he played in the red number 14 shirt in case you were mistaking him for someone else. Many peoples mom thought. Not mine by the way but he was a long way from poor

We never lost because of the team selection, we lost simply because we could not defend at set pieces
