If you think about one being in the week immediately after the referendum and many expecting a swift exit then it's fairly understandable.

For all I've quoted them, recent events show it's tricky to base too much on polls, particularly when it's a fluid event.

I think there are some set on one side or the other, but the votes on topics such as these are won or lost by those that are largely undecided and liable to decide at the ballot box.

People become set on single strands of the issue, and can be ambivalent to the other parts, which can polarise discussions or leave people at cross purposes, which isn't helpful.

Not adamant, no. .That's for them to decide.

But, the fact remains that they voted to stay in a UK that was part of the EU. Which it soon will not be.

Their 68% support for remaining part of the EU says that they may well think differently once the U.K. leaves.

I don't think it was forced into the union was it? The union has served both nations well for several centuries, something most Scots would probably agree with. Whether it can continue to do so is another matter; since 23rd June, a lot of Scottishers probaly feel like they are chained to a madman.

I suppose bribed or blackmailed might be a better term. It bailed out the Scottish aristocracy and merchant class.

I quite like Dianne Abbott. I see her as a harmless idiot; sort of like a left wing Kustard.

And she's right on this issue; both Britain and France have every reason to be ashamed about Calais.

She's right about that part. But I don't agree about the age checks. The idea was to give asylum to unaccompanied children.

I see her as a fruitcake!...

Bit more to it than being forced into a union.
They were about to go bankrupt and needed financial help as well as England needing them to stop them making alliances with Englands enemies.

What's the point of Uncle Pete even being on here? The only people whose posts he can see are Mustard and Dull! All he will see is their replies to our posts. <laugh>

I've read several reviews about this film, you disgusting, selfish, fat ****tard. It's reckoned to be a frighteningly realistic portrayal of what happens to many people caught in this benefits trap.

Not that you'd give a toss, you Nazi lump of lard!..

They were basically given very little option. It saved the Scottish aristocracy from bankruptcy. The people? Well, they never got a choice...
