The Prick bit is one of the better moments in the episode, funny as **** Negan is actually great, was hoping he'd just hit head homers on them all and the show would now be about him, guess it will be to some extent, all the characters in that main group are annoying as ****, the character development on the show is so poor, do you really give a **** about any of them by this point. That's what the episode and cliffhanger relied on. Unfortunately I couldn't care less. They've done more with the Negan character, and that Simon guy , in about 10 minutes than they have with all the main characters in 6 seasons There were a couple other decent bits but overall it was a disappointing episode and a let-down
Watched 'Spotlight' the other night. True story about the Catholic kiddy fiddlers getting uncovered. Amazing film. Great Cast. Sickening story. Highly recommend 8/10.
My next one to watch. Watched Sausage Party last night, I was pretty baked which made the last scene like WTTTFFFFFFFF!
Sausage Party is a solid 7.5/10 for laughs Better than expected from what I heard from some people. Even my housemate who said it was "OK" thought it was better after watching it again with me.
Probably 95% of the traffic on the system of a small charity was to Not 606, bit of a giveaway as Greez was the only football mad employee.
Can't be arsed to spoiler bits. If you haven't got to Season 7 of TWD, don't read this Thought TWD was grotesquely excellent. Gutted a little that Abe was taken out, but I'm loving Negan. Can't wait for the next episode. Also, looking forward to how they bring Morgan and Carol back into what's just happened to the rest of characters. These two have not been a part of the experience the rest have just gone through. While the rest are broken, I think Carol (possibly Morgan but unlikely) will probably still think they can battle the Saviors. One thing's for sure, there's no season fix for this one, they won't get close to defeating Negan for at least a couple of years at the earliest. This is going to feel like a long season!!
talk about flogging a dead horse then. At least game of trhones after 6 seasons has a clear ending in sight.
There is some risk of that. I thought their whole saga with the Governor went on a bit longer than it should have, and Negan I'm sure will be a lot tougher opponent. It all depends on how they do it, but I imagine there'll be a few false dawns along the way.
The problem with TV series' is once they become massively popular a la Lost the writers tend to try stretch the story as long as possible for the ££ even if its detrimental to the overall story.
Lost turned to **** from the second series imo. It was obvious they hadn't thought beyond the first series. TWD at least has the graphic comic to fall back on. I am weary of how the writers will keep the interest going for another 15 episodes after such a climactic opening. Other than the saviors story, I thought series 6 was pretty average. That whole saga of them trying to reroute the million long Walkers away from their town was dull as ****. The other problem is keeping a set of characters we can remain genuinely interested in or have some empathy for. For me, right now there's Daryl, Morgan, Carol, Rick, Michone who I have any empathy with (others may disagree about one or two but each to their own), however if their storylines become dull and mundane, I doubt I'll carry on watching. So the challenge for the writers is to try and keep this whole saga of our family of characters vs the saviours going while also giving us something to want to tune in to while we await to see what happens between them. E.g. next week (and maybe for a couple of weeks after that) there'll be no confrontation between the gang and the saviours as they've been well and truly humbled. So in the meantime I expect something to keep me engaged. I expect there to be the usual infighting and with Rick seemingly a broken man, maybe even a battle for leadership within the group. But I'm hoping there's more to offer than that. EDIT: In fact, I'd quite like to see a third group introduced to really throw the cat among the pigeons. The scope to take the story in different directions with new allegiances/alliances being formed, trust, betrayal, new characters that may or may not eventually join our group, the dynamics between 3 possible warring factions (the enemy of my enemy is my friend etc) is probably the best bet imo.
I don't read the comics so I have no idea what is in store, nor do I want to know. However, my thoughts are... - Negen is one sick powerful dude - he "owns" everything he comes across - They've just totally dominated Rick & co - surely he's dominated other groups too - maybe there were so many people backing Negen up because he "owns" them - maybe these "owned" groups don't like it either - maybe they just need a leader to stand up to Negen to cause a civil war within the 'Negen group' I think this is how they will eventually take control #pureguess
