It's an increasingly likely scenario, given the farce that is currently going on...

The only difference as far as I can see is that it hasn't been as long since Scotland submitted to English rule. Back when Scotland were conquered the UK hadn't been formed either, it was just a hotch potch of different countries.

    Sorry, but they're in France.
There are people in far greater need of our help.

Actually, no. From the early 16th century Wales was part of the Kingdom of England. Ireland had also been subjugated,

And yet still imaginary, and distant from the voting facts and poll opinions,

Not from voting facts. Scots voted 68% to remain part of the EU.

Nope, that wasn't a voting option anymore than it was for London or Liverpool. The fact is, they voted to be part of the UK, the UK voted to leave the EU. That really is democracy.

Do you have a direct link to that specific poll?

The ones I found on there say no to a referendum, 47% to 38%

I don't know if this link will work. http://whatscotlandthinks.org/quest...-independence-referendum-if-held-now-ask#line

It goes round because you're offering a fiction as an argument against the facts.

    Bullshit.

The facts are simple. The Scott were persuaded to vote to remain part of a UK that wa part of the EU. Which it soon won't be.

.They also voted 68% to remain as part of the EU.

With it out for yourself, you've lived up to your name, Dull, tonight. And I'm bored!...

"When do you think another Scottish independence referendum should be held?"

The two dates are June and September. It seems as time moves on, there's less appetite for a change in the near future, with dates further away being preferred.

In the next two or three years, while the UK is negotiating to leave the EU 43% 33%
About two or three years from now, when the UK has finished negotiating to leave the EU 17% 21%
There should not be another Scottish independence referendum in the next few years 40% 46%

The facts are they voted to remain with the UK. That same UK voted out. The polls show the appetite to leave the UK is waning as time passes.

The rest is nothing to do with how democracy works.

Yes, but it didn't become the UK until 1707 or something right?

So, do you support Scottish independence then?
You seem to be adamant they should get it?
