I'm optimistic about a good deal with EU because, uniquely, we *start* from a position of total free trade. Inertia bias is our friend. James O'Shaughnesy

The pound will bounce back as the stock market plummets... Hold not sell the pound....
Offloading GB stocks and shares at the top of the market... Buy them back at the bottom.
Would anticipate doing about 15X better than keeping money in the bank this financial year.
    How about you?

Newsnight's anti-Brexit coverage was final straw. Now given it up completely. Reading and radio instead. Thoroughly recommended.

Philip Hammond: I would still vote to leave Europe
Foreign secretary says status quo 'not in Britain's interest' and he would vote to leave without renegotiation of UK relationship

Those who want to remain I respect if its because they know something the rest of us dont, or if leaving is effecting their business or way of life, fair play. But if its just because they want to be in a minority and believe the drivell spouted by so called MSM, forget it. You talk the country down when we should be showing a united front and sticking it to the the EU. You lost the war, never mind the battle and I can dig up thousands of articles by respected politicians, thinkers, doers, businessmen, Economists, nobel prize winners. Status Quo is a band and not a way of life

LOL. I don't take this Brexit thing too seriously, tbh. Any references you've presented have been linked to speculation from various sources. Speculation - not evidence, as evidence cannot exist for what is absolutely theoretical. How can you predict an outcome when it hasn't even been negotiated yet?

I can look ahead & see the logic of how we will proceed. It will probably largely mirror how we traded pre-EU. The attraction of joining the EU then was mainly the free movement of people, not the trade deals (although an essential part of it). There are some benefits of free movement, but we still have big bloody queues to stand in to get our passports checked, and it has been mooted that this facility may well remain despite Brexit.

We have paid fortunes for decades to be a member of this 'club', & the money has been spent on a ridiculous administration structure; ridiculous laws, red tape, & regulation; paying farmers to not grow food; developing the economies of the poorer EU members (some of the poorer countries now have better road & rail links than us!). They've had a good run out of us & are now wondering how they're going to pay for it all in future when one of the main contributors leaves - i.e. us.

Bottom line? No-one knows how the future will pan out. The Brexiteers are fuelled by hope & principal, with no absolute evidence of success. The Remainers appear to be still focussing purely on scare tactics, in the vain hope that the word of the people will be over-ruled. They also have no absolute evidence. Reminds me of the Luddites (no, bugger off - no links).

Tickets? Yip, no problem, but remind me when they're going to be available & tell me exactly what you want (& where). :D

No one knows but Chippy seems to know for a fact that the world is exploding??? use the interweb and watch world news not BBC as they have their own agenda as you well know. Tyhe governments experts prior to brexit have all been proved wrong and are clamoring to update their forecasts. EVERY FOOKING ONE OF THEM. So please do me the service of keeping an open mind on the people who are saying everything will be good except a few bumps in the road.
