We need another cb and striker even if we win the next 10 games.

 

I was thinking about this earlier. Which CB should we be signing? One that will take Fonte's place next season, really. But who is out there, young/good enough that we can get?

 

We have been tracking Keane for ages now. My hope is Burnley go down so we can buy him a little cheaper...

 

Keane will be snapped up by Chelsea then loaned out multiple times. So, maybe we'll get him a little later......

 

That would be nice, and wikipedia says he only has 2.5 years left on his contract.

Not a single Saints player in Garth crooks team of the week...... wow.

 

That's 5 of last year's top 7, and we were 6th. Only Tottenham (18/3/17) left to go.
Although Liverpool (6/5/17), Chelsea (22/4/17), and Everton (2/1/17) may be tough too this season.

Every other game both home & away we should really fancy ourselves this season, the way we're playing at the moment.

 

I agree but a lot will come down to keeping players fit..

 

Nice to see the analysis on MOTD2 move forward from almost condescending praise to some honest criticism of our display and asking the question why we didn't win the match? instead of saying we should be thrilled with a point.
I didn't see the match today as my flight from a southern peninsula in Europe was delayed, but it looks like Tadic had one of his off days.

Hopefully Boufal can add that creativity which gets lost if Tadic is absent or absent minded

 

Just back after a long trip to Etihad + after match dinner with friends in Cheshire and then back south, knackered but wow im well chuffed with that performance against City ! Saints are a really difficult team to play against now, and long may it continue. Virgil was immense despite the elbows etc and the rest of team also gave their all, a few of them were totally shagged by the final whistle.

 

I wouldnt have said Tadic had an off day, i thought he played well first half especially.

 

Good game & interesting analysis on MOTD2. Said that it looked like we would win but quality in the final third let us down.

Romeu was amazing again today & I liked how well we played out under pressure, even if we do occasionally get caught out, like with the goal.

Still have a problem with a natural goalscorer: Austin had one decent chance both today & against Inter, shame he couldn't take either; cheeky bid for Aguero?!
