So you stand by the assertion that anyone who isn't white is black? Yes or no? <laugh>

In what respect do you see similarities between a term used by anti-racist groups, and a derogatory term?

When did you stop beating your wife?

Have a read back and you'll see it's not a black and white question. <ok>

I tend to skip over his replies, but now and again his naive and simple attempts to mimic others amuses me.

My point was it was pretty obvious to everyone that "darker skin" means more than "black". Trying to claim otherwise is a bit odd and trying to make out what Stan said was in some way bigoted is even odder.

I agree it means more than black. That's quite clear from the replies. It's why I used 'can' in the reply about the journalist in his search for a definition.

Stanley's prejudice and bigotry was revealed in his assumption about Syrians and Iraqi's.

    That's not a strawman . <doh>

You can be black if you want Stan, as can anyone. That's how the rules work, and why your listing of people shows more about your simpleness than it does about the discussion.

You agree it means more than black but when you replied to my post you only referenced blacks? Why so?

I referred to non whites and you referenced only blacks. Why so? Simple question. Please indulge my simpleness by giving a simple answer that will explain why you took "non whites" to mean "blacks".

Because the term has more than one meaning.

It can be used as a collective term for what can also be described as visibly ethnic minorities. Part of the problem stems from some defined as white being darker skinned than others defined as black.

In this instance the only one spinning is Hull, and it's rather pathetic.

So you've decided on his behalf that he is both black and also not black. That's quite a lot of power you've bestowed upon yourself <laugh>

I've stuck to the same point throughout. It's the others trying to dig themselves out of their own bigoted hole.

My words have already proved it's far superior to yours.

Not that I take much pride in such a minor triumph....

Not really stan. I'm saying he can defined as black or not black. He possibly has his own views on which he is, as will others.
