O'dear O'B Brown Clayton McCormack That's half of our outfield that should be squad players at best. We've had a fantastic opportunity to build on a rather fortunate previous season ruined by bad management of the club. It's going to be a long season! To stop any people crying "wum!", positives include Kissa, Lonegran looking decent enough, Howson looks up for it... I just can't help thinking that a few decent performances and snods/max isn't going to be enough! Prove me wrong boys! M(nervously)OT
Sadly true. I thought that with the average Kilkenny and Johnson going out, we'd reinvest some of those lucrative profits we've been making on the midfield. I hoped that with the return of Kisnorbo, solidity would be returned to our defence and that we'd have bought a solid, experienced left-back with that money sitting in the bank. I hoped that we'd have the money to buy leaders who'd make sure we'd never lose by a three goal margin by bollocking anyone who put a foot wrong. How naive I was. The money was never there, it's now sitting in the bank account of some **** architects who are defacing Elland Road, the last tangible manifestation of Leeds United's world-class support and the facilities that should translate into. **** off and die in pain Bates, you horrible stupid old ****. Oh but we've now scored a penalty from a hand-ball which wasn't a hand-ball so everything's going to be fine and we were just unlucky to have got beaten by a strong Southampton side.
I think Clayton was the most solid of our midfield today. A couple of errors but generally looked tidy on the ball. Hopefully he can grow into the season but yeah there are better players out there that should have been considered...
Unlike some more pessimisitic Leeds fans, I argued that we had a good enough squad and players like AOB, Brown, Clayton and McCormack would come good. But I was wrong. Our team today isn't good enough, let alone our thread bare squad. Lonergran looked decent, none of the goals were his fault and he made a good save/couple of good catches. Connolly was poor today, and it's evident that he cannot pass the ball. AOB is so ****, he was **** when he signed and he's still **** now. Premier League experience doesn't make you good, and there was a reason Bolton let him go on a free. Kisnorbo was decent, put himself about as usual, not to blame. Darren Oh'DearwhatthefuckwereyouthinkingGrayson? (to give him his full name) was pathetic, as any Ipswich fan will tell you. Michael Brown was terrible. Got booked, kicked people, but didn't back it up with some actual good defending. Clayton was the best of our players today. By no means a good performance, but was comfortable on the ball and played some decent passes. Needs to impose himself more. Howson didn't really do anything, but like most of our attackers wasn't to blame for the performance. Snodgrass, as above. Gradel, as above, McCormack as above. Why did we play long passes (hoofs) to McCormack all time? We need a new centreback, leftback and centremid atleast. A striker and rightback wouldn't go amiss either. If Bates didn't spend £7million on his museum(who's going to go to this?) and some new corportate boxes or w.e. then Grayson could have some money to spend.
I'd drop the whole team afer that performance!! Made Southampton look like Brazil but it was only one game - lets hope we respond in the right way starting next week!!
Yeah, it was one game. But it was one game after a summer of little transfer activity, with everyone questioning our squad. Players like AOB (yet to put in a good performance), O'Dear, Brown, Clayton and McCormack needed to step up, but they didn't. Our squad is midtable at best.
TWAT get real, wait until when then it was only 2,3,4 games, it isn't going to get better with crap like Brown, O'Dea and the rest who can't string 6 passes together and a team that has a problem scoring with Bechio out not that we deserved to score in that one.
the only plus point I can think of from going to watch that game was that I saw possibly the sexiest woman I've ever seen in the pub. That's it. She was more interesting than the game. ****ing diabolical.
I was not expecting a super start to the season but we were piss poor today... painful to watch. Simply did not turn up. Lets see how we get on in next few games. I felt the ref was being a twat if im honest but regardless we were ****!
Why's everyone knocking Clayton,he was our best player by a long long way. Snodgrass was useless,as was Connelly,O'Brien,& O'Dear. McCormack isn't a lone striker! What the ****s Grayson playing at? Two small silver linings in a sea of ****e- Clayton & Lonergan.
things will only get worse marko but others av dreams---mine died yonks ago---but i love leeds and accept the truth
