Watching on sky sports 1. No mention of saints so far ........

 

By the look of it only Man City playing, no other team mentioned as of yet.

 

I think today our performance is hugely dependant upon Redmond and Tadic.

• City have gone with a lot of width high up the pitch, which will pin Martina and McQueen back.

• We have seen in the early season games that when the full backs can't / don't get forwards we struggle, have no width, and become too predictable.

• If full backs stay back, Tadic and Redmond have ot provide that width.

• If full backs do get forwards and we lose the ball, Tadic and Redmond may have ot help cover back as City break.
  
• If we can get width high up the pitch (be it McQueen/Martina, or Tadic/Redmond), then there WILL be space to attack. Pull their defence wide and Austin will have space to attack.

A few moans and groans from the City crowd early on. It's the one game of the season where I'd be delighted with a dull 0-0.
