Great touch and hold up play by N'gog just then. Sometimes he does look like he's got real potential. It's a shame he's not really strong enough to be a forward that holds the ball up like Heskey for example, but then not quite got the sharpness to be a predator infront of goal thats going to be there for the tap ins, like Hernadez for United.
we're flying since the subs came on. David NGog has glue on his boots. His first touch has always been class, just his decision making that's always been poor (and lack of aggression). Looking a bit heavier (=more aggression?) and who knows maybe a good back-up option this year!
Also we have not been this well set-up since Rafa's best games. I know it's preseason but we look really strong
The substitutions has affected the flow of the game. Its gone a bit flat. However the good thing is the tempo Liverpool are playing at is encouraging, its a league game tempo.
He is good. But perhaps still a little young. Kelly is coming on leaps and bounds too. Valencia corner. Comes to nothing.
Its not his age, its his experience. You can't expect an 18 year old to come in one season to cover and a second season to be first-choice.
Soto on as a sub.Now thats 9 subsytutions in total for Liverpool, only Carra and Reina started the game.
I do think Kelly will be a CB in a couple of years. He doesn't look all that comfortable going forward. A few times this game he's passed inside and instead of heading up the line for the return he's just stood there. I think against teams toward the bottom of the table Johnson is perfect as he is so good going forward he acts as another winger. Defensively I don't think there is much between them though.
