I'm ok with Clattenburg, would we be moaning if some dodgy decision goes our way? Tom, keep on with your opinions mate, its what the forum is for. I never get offended by anything I read on a forum, its not like I know any of you. 3 points today will be amazing, got a good feeling about this game.
Oy, you will notice us ladies don't join in on these spats (apart from sometimes to try and stop it). Someone please mention the Nazis so we can get on with talking about the match.
Should that be Ladees? There are a lot of 'old women' on this forum, including myself. We do like to get in a flap over nothing. There are real cricises all around, it's only a football match. Nobody dies, hopefully. Now settle down children and play nicely. Nazis? Really
We'll all gather round Tom and hurl abuse at him until he sends one of us off. Except he can't, poor sod.
And raise their arm high and forward when handing out red and yellow cards ... a little like a certain salute....
Right about the game... Anyone else slightly worried of a backlash? No goals in our last 3 away games (in all competitions) and a wounded City with probably the best attack in the league. I have visions of another penalty conceded. I'll be on my way/at work during the game so will be reading here/bbc for updates.
As I wrote earlier - (before Tom went off on one) - think this will be a hard game to get something from - we need to retain possession well in the midfield and not try to force the game and give the ball away cheaply, but am sure will be harried as they hunt the ball. Defensively, I think we need two DM's today and look for the counter. Concur with you on the subject of a penalty - a lot of pressure on the officials today as City going baying around our penalty area. Also wrote earlier - see this at best a 0-0 draw - given our propensity to create opportunities but execute poorly - can see us struggling to score.
I'm interested to see how we cope having less possession today. Am I right in thinking we've had more posession in every match we've played so far? Don't see that happening today. We all know we're pretty good with the ball. Today might show us what we're like if we're without it for long periods. We could really do with Long for this game sadly. For some reason I can't see a narrow City win. Either a draw or comfortable home win; 1-1 or 3-1 would be my guess. Can't see a clean sheet today either way.
Hopefully the team concentrated on shooting practice this week and suddenly we convert all the chances we create and our lowly 6% accuracy soars!! (lets face it - could not get any worse )
I don't expect too much to change from our normal style, just knackered people to be rested. It's fair enough to go there and make them play. But we don't have much choice anyway, because we've only had a day to prepare.
