Even if it does get to 100,000 signatures though and the MP's debate and even if they decide they want to keep it on BBC, is there much they can do??

If (when) sky get full control I will no longer be watching F1 Already gonna hve to miss half next year along with most others

Very pleased you've signed up.
The reaction is so strong it will be very difficult for the government to ignore indefinitely, in spite of the current 'stonewall' policy. The whole thing is an absolute disgrace in so many different ways that I cancelled my existing Sky subscription; and have decided that Murdoch will never again get a single penny from me for as long as live.

Hi sea_man not been on here long myself at the moment the count is 11,268 and a quick calculation tells me that the petition will reach the required 100,000 signatures before the next race in Spa.

Hmm don't really know much about IP addresses, my parents signed from my laptop like I did, does that mean our votes will likely be disqualified?

 

No thats fine you are registered at that address as are your parents, its when uncle tom cobbler an ol starts cropping up that it get flagged

Sorry to requote myself but found out today that it is ridiculously easy to contact your local MP with an issue online, am hoping quite a few people do this as I'm not sure about the efficacy of online petitions, at least an M.P. might stand up and represent his constituent, in an ideal world. Am very glad that so many people will not be getting Sky just because of this, F1 fans are good principled people for the most part, give or take one or two unfortunates.
