How many times did stoke get behind our defence, how many one on ones did they miss and how many chances did they spurn in and around the 6 yard box. They may have been average but we were ****ing awful, bested man for man all over the pitch. We really were fortunate to escape with a deficit as low as 2.

We could easily have lost by five again today. They missed some sitters. It may be the red wine but did we have a good shot on goal?
On a separate note Phil Collins has just shuffled on to Jonathan woss show with a stick, I must be getting old

That sums it up perfectly for me. Another team would have torn that Stoke side apart, we made them look like Barca.

I fear for us, I really do.
    MP isnt managerial material.
SB is, but only to Chumpionship level.

It didn't look half as bad on MOTD as it did earlier today live in person.

Advice on how to get over the frustration of another dire day at the KCOM.
When the goals are pouring in and you want to lash out in every direction you can now safely jettison all that pent up angst in the comfort of your own well paid for season ticket seat. Surreptitiously take one of these bad boys from your breast pocket and chew nice and sloooooooow. The sensation of self combustion and complete nuclear brain damage will linger on. When the excruciating pain finally ceases you will be feeling right as rain and ready to start all over again next week.

    Really?

I bet Bristol are rubbing their hands together with glee. We'll almost certainly put out a second string team, with players in the wrong positions.

We're playing worse than Villa last season currently, thanks to Phelan.

Bristol should be a run around for us, result never in doubt. It currently isn't.

Left feeling utterly deflated yesterday. I don't think in 17 years of watching City I've left a game thinking I really can't be arsed to come back. We've played poorly and lost before but there always felt like there was hope that things would get better. After yesterday, I just didn't have that feeling. Watching us play dire football and be comfortably beat by an average side in a half empty stadium felt like a throwback to when I first started going to watch City in the late 90s. Like many people my age, I've been lucky to experience 15 years of unrivalled success in the club's history when many others didn't. However, it does feel like the good work done over the previous 15 years in raising the club's profile and increasing the fanbase is beginning to unravel due to this rut of self-destruction the club currently finds itself in.

You must be devil for punishment, couldn't stomach MOTD, after witnessing that dire performance yesterday! Dire and embarrassing set up & performance against a bottom 3 Stoke side, who were not great, they were there for the taking. Yes, they had a couple of good players, the rest just worked together as a unit/team, unlike us who looked like we had just met each other and couldn't make a pass. Poor. Where has our team spirit/attitude gone from the original 11? Our player of the season, top scorer, 2 international strikers benched in favour of a novice 3 in 50, unforgivable. Clucas, wasted as LB, much more dangerous going forward. It was obvious to most set up was not working during first half, should have been changed much earlier. Goals win games, we looked more dangerous and likely to score after the changes, played most of the 2nd half in their half, just too late when 2 nil down.

Never have been convinced by MP, couldn't see what he brought to the table when SB brought him in, not managerial material, but after everyman and his dog were flirted in front of him and turned us down, he was the last resort and we are stuck with him. I just hope that he can lose the arrogant mancurian attitude and see what most can see, we need to play with the players we have in their best positions.

    exactly this ^^^^^

once the formation was changed to have two up top suddenly we looked far far better then we had been. What`s worse is in the interview after with Burnsy, Phelan`s voice was wavering almost as if he didn`t know how to answer. He attempted to justify the inclusion of Keane, saying that Abel didn`t enjoy playing alone up front, and intimated that Keane did a better job of it at Bournemouth (yup where we conceded 6). I have to say listening to that interview it came across he is void of ideas, and is trying to justify his signings by playing them. In the whole of Steve Bruce`s tenure i did not once feel that wen were a lamb to the slaughter but this side, the tactics employed, the set up, the picking of the players, for me is just that. Phelan needs to have a good look at himself in the mirror, and pick the formation and team that suits our squad.

At least you don't have to witness it again (unless you get offered another freebie)
