I was wrong. And playing next to a decent centre-back he looks sound.

Hope that doesn't jinx him. :emoticon-0138-think

He's doing a lot better and building a good partnership with Matip. Klavan is good cover we are sorted in that position.

He has definitely improved but still not good enough IMO. The one good thing he has done is cut out the high profile errors.

Matip on the other hand has been impressive. Really strong, great in the air, good reading of the game and so composed on the ball.

New LCB and LB and our defence really takes shape.

    A)decent to good player
    B) bit of a donkey
    C) in love with klopp

I think we are getting everything out of him possible

One of those players will all the tools to be a good player but under Rodgers was mentally way off. Trying to hard, under pressure and asked to do too much = mistakes.

He seems a lot more comfortable now, playing a simpler game. He is a good tackler and decent in the air. Better than Skrtel. Decent with the ball too but content now to play safe unlike under previous management.

I noticed a few weeks back Matip shouting at him, telling him what to do. Lovren is a CB that needs someone next to him doing just that, lads not a thinker.
Its why Skrtel and Lovren were so bad together, neither is an organiser or commander (didn't help Skrtel was an accident waiting to happen from every kick off).

Rumour is that we're looking at Schaar, so this partnership better prove its worth by the summer.

You were warned when you bought him that he needed a good organiser next to him, he is by no means a bad CH but needs directing.
I watched two of your personal favourites in the U23s last night (Sakho and Illori), they look like they may be finding their level if given enough time together <ok>

True. The Echo are continuing their love in for Ings and think he should be playing for the first XI. It's a shame the two defenders don't receive the same level of propaganda :(

They'd need to be sold in January, have the best half a season ever, get bought back for £50m+ in Summer, before Mourinho is sacked next December. Seems unlikely.

Ings actually had a poor game, he missed two 1 on 1s with our keeper and 3 other very good chances. I believe he has been scoring quite often though so far.

Most of them are new to the team, no real stand outs yet but Matty Willock is performing well again <ok>

Good question. He's had to kill them off cos they are bloody awful. I thought you knew this but your lot were worldies or something.

    Ojo broke his back.
    Kent went on loan.
    Wilson isn't ready.
    Lennon isn't old enough.
And so forth and so on.

We've not one cb I'd rate down there, not one full back either.

Alexander Arnold he's give a game to who is 18 and Wooburn has only turned 17 and klopp brought him on tour etc. Ejaria has also been given a game.

So... put that in yer pipe and smoke it.

Come know who has mourinho bothered with
