After watching him in the U23s against United this week I would say he has a long way to go. Missed two 1 on 1s with the keeper and 3 very good chances apart from that.
YOu see anyone decent in our U 15's Blades Cup final game earlier this week? The one you were 3-1 up at HT?
Nope, didn't even know they had played. I do tend to watch United's U23s when I can though, this week they just happened to be playing Liverpool (first time I have seen your lot this season). I hardly know any of ours this season due to most of last years team being sold, going on loan or being promoted to first team squad.
I suppose MEN wouldnt report it as we ended up winning 5-3 I know Ings has been on the scoresheet for us a few times in U 23's, trust Klopp to make the right call though on Ings and the youngsters Cant see Ings being here much longer tbh
Isak is one of the most highly rated young stars in Scandinavia Liverpool are increasingly keen on Swedish sensation Alexander Isak, according to Swedish newspaper Expressen . The 17-year-old striker has been dubbed the 'next Ibrahimovic' after impressing for AIK Gothenburg in his homeland. Liverpool have reportedly been scouting him along with a host of other top European clubs, including Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. AIK sporting director Bjorn Wesstrom said last month: "Now that he has made the breakthrough, Alexander will leave for a big transfer fee. Now or in the next transfer window he will be sold".
ehhh... nahhhhh.. sorry no chance. they aint within an asses roar of firsts. lets see tuesday night if any get a game there.
We need a lot of things for next year but as of now we've 11 first team players and then only competition between lovern and klavan, prob henderson and can and thats about it! theres talent in there but none that can get into this game style and make it work so i dunno what we will do as the season goes on.
It's true. Our first eleven improved for the first time in a while this summer but after having a clear out, we look a little shallow from a squad perspective. Fingers crossed that out injury list stays small
Theres nothing really wrong with it imo but suddenly theres a new style and lads who ought to fit dont and lad who were not delivering suddenly are on fire. I just think we are looking at klopp starting to build from here rather than an end product.
This is what we've said for a long time, that there's a huge difference between a team and a collection of individuals. There is talent on our bench, but will it fit Klopp's style? There are few options that will slot seamlessly into the side if any of the first choice are out. I think Klopp will address that in the next couple of windows, but the signings may well be out of the blue and not the ones people are hoping for or expecting.
Exactly, another 2 windows and Klopp will hopefully not just have a very good starting XI but also a very capable bunch of backups that doesn't allow for the quality to drop when they come into the sides.. Also agree with your "out of the blue" comment, we knew Mane was good, but did we honestly think he'd be this good so soon? Another is Gini, raised a few eye brows but we know what that he's bought a great deal the team already and also, he's more than capable replacement for any in the midfield 3!
Europe will also make a difference in summer window if we get in. We'll need those extra few bodies to be able to rotate and not weaken the squad. Wonder if we are looking like getting into Europe by Jan then might get few more bodies in Jan window in prep for it so come next season they have had time to bed into the squad and will be ready to go straight in.
