One has to be again livid - today we managed 20 crosses only 1 of which reached one of ours. Not that he did anything with it, which leads on to:

Indeed! We had a whopping 646 passes of which 523 (81%) were successful. However, the rub is that only 232 (44%) were successful "forward" passes and ... unfortunately it's left to conjecture how many of those were in the Villa half.

What we do know however, is that Villa cleared their lines (or to put it another way 'had to clear their lines') in their final third on 35 occasions and we had 3 shots. Extrapolating that then, the same conjecture says that 197 (85%) of those so called successful "attacking passes" were ineffectual and frankly, it matters not whose half they were in.

The final word has to be with Jokanovic who, in his post-match critique, said "Sometimes we are a little bit confused.

"Sometimes!!!" Most Times, I'm confused with his interviews, I'm confused with his tactics, I'm confused with his substitutions.

There's really only 3 away games where our possession has worked for me Barnsley, Leeds and Forest away (2 games we were unlucky not to win), and 2 home games Burton & QPR in which our shots ratio was high but accuracy and finishing poor. For all our possession our end product of shoots on goal is poor.
