Without trying to jinx it, we look a lot more solid defensively. Only one cross which cause a bit of concern but I would hope Agger, Carragher & Kelly would be able to deal with any crosses coming in.

 

How do we manage to be singing a song throughout the whole game?

The good thing and its obviously a difference to last season is we're using the width of the pitch. Last season we were far too narrow. Downing is definitely providing an option down that left, Henderson is providing real energy down the opposite flank. This will be vital in away games to ease the pressure on the defence which is paramount in order to gain victories.

 

He should of hit it the way he scored his first goal for us against City.

I remember telling my mate before the game his left foot is overlooked. When it fell to him, I knew it was going to be a rocket

Good play from the corner there. Think Downing should have chipped that one to the back post where it was 2 v 1 but nice to see something different.

we're actually passing the ball out of defence which is great to see. Need Aquilani on the ball a bit more, but apart from that we look rather tasty. This could easily be a Prem top 4 game, and we're solid.

 

Can't watch the game today... What's happened in the past 10 minutes or so?

 

The game is on LFCtv, ESPN, ESPN HD and all over the internet and you still can't watch it?

 

It's on LFCTV online and I don't have that, I don't have ESPN and my internet is pretty bad and most streams for me won't load. So yeah, can't watch it.

 

I reckon if Kenny puts this side out against Sunderland,we will win easily and thats with having the security of Suarez and Lucas on the bench, however I reckon neither would be needed.

 

Half Time.

Valencia had more of the ball but we've played some good stuff. Passed the ball around nicely and kept it well when he have had it. Good pressure from Carrol for the goal and some good crosses from Downing & Adam. Pretty solid at the back with only a couple of shaky moments when the ball fizzed along the 6 yard box. Downing probably the best player of the half. Need to see more from Aqualani and Henderson though. They haven't really been too involved.

Overall a vast improvement on previous games. Lets keep it going in the second half and get a couple more goals & hopefully a welcomed clean sheet.
