Even though we're losing 2-0 and it's a nine-hour round trip, I wish I'd been there. WE ALL LOVE LEEDS ringing around the ground with pride.

I can maybe see your point but I don't think we would get the ball to him. Everytime we get it in defence they look up, can't find a player on and hoof it long, wtf are they doing, we have 5 spread through the middle and just like last season we cant string 5-6 simple passes together.

You'd rather have had Parker there then?! O'Dea's looked fine, made a couple of sloppy passes but it's not really his fault we've conceded twice.

Gradel and Snodgrass need to get out wide and get more service, for sure. I don't agree that we didn't string passes together last season, we were top scorers! Clayton and Brown have been disappointing and to be honest, I'd rather see Howson back in that position with maybe Nunez or McCormack behind the striker. Paynter on please! At least he'll make something of the hoofs unlike diddy McCormack.

Neither of them have done anything really. Gradel going for the aerial cross too often instead of cutting in which is how he does his damage. Clayton out of position for the first goal and hasn't made a single tackle that I can recollect. Nor has his passing been as good as it was against Newcastle pre-season. Get your act together Leeds.

You're not proud to be Leeds then? This thread isn't about the performance, if you hadn't noticed.

Love it when Leeds fans say stuff like this. Suppose you've got to vent your frustration somehow. We're halfway through the first game! Snap judgement much?

Well they are ripping through our midfield with ease, I just hope and pray that Southampton are going to walk this division and that we aren't really as bad as we are looking. I think Simon is going to have to ditch this formation pretty sharpish. Before the match LeTissier said he felt leeds out did themselves last season and just a repeat of what they did and where they finished last would be good. I agree we can't call for heads to roll after one match, I could take being 2-0 down if we were playing well but we are not. So fu**ing depressing on day one.

    Leeds-18

It might be the first game but we've been absolutely shocking. I agree let's not get too pessimistic after 45 minutes but why are we still conceding stupid goals when it was clear from last season that our defence wasn't up to it?

Never embarrased to be a Leeds fan, I don't pick the team and pay the wages. If there is one thing the press often state it is that the fans deserve better, Leeds fans are recognised for many things but at least one of them is being loyal.

The Kisnorbo Effect hasn't been as noticeable as everyone thought. The midfield has continued to look lightweight. We are making the same mistakes as last season, though there's still plenty of time for us to get that situation remedied. I'll report back in 45 minutes time when everyone's knee-jerking and crying about how we're getting relegated just because Southampton have beaten us. ;)

Clayton, O'Brien and Brown - we might as well swap them for reserve players at the moment. Thank heavens the ref is over lenient

4-4-2 is utter rubbish. What formation do you propose to replace the 4-2-3-1 system that pretty much every successful team in the world plays? It's not the system, it's the players who aren't pressing enough, the same old story. They only do it when it's a huge game and they're really up for it, they don't look energetic enough at all. Anyway, second half now so I'll yank myself away from the computer and hopefully we'll have a strong backlash. MOT!

I can take losing, I really can, I can't take the team being made to look piss poor. Lack of quality signings is going to cost us dear

Clayton stands, he looks, he gets the wrong side of Conolly and oh look, another goal, yes great replacement for the departed.
