I'm ****ing 40 next month. Have no intention of having a party and think I'd like to **** off somewhere for a few days.

Was planning on doing an airbnb in Budapest. Though getting there is proving expensive.

    Possibly thinking Valencia.

If anyone has been anywhere interesting with decent food and cheap booze please make me a suggestion.

Matth said you could doss down at his gaff for a couple of days if you want. I hear he got a great selection of utube clips and FIFA17.

Why not ask HIAB he has a vivid imagination and knows all the cheap out-of-season holidays. Here's one of him and the missus in Cancun.

Don't think the Mrs would appreciate me playing golf.

She likes getting pissed so cheap beer destinations work well.

If you just really want cheap ale then it's Eastern Europe mate.

Budapest is nice and not full of stags as they don't want to go the way of Prague

Kraków is a good one for good cheap food and drink and there's plenty to do and see to keep you busy.

Bratislava is an interesting one, very cheap for food and drink, though not as much to do and the food is more home comfort than Michelin.

Vienna is a great city for eating and drinking out but not one of the cheaper locations to visit (Though not as expensive as you might expect). Lots to see and do though. They've got a great Zoo there.

Croatia is a good option too, Dubrovnik is beautiful and has plenty of nice places to eat out. Good lager there too. Zagreb is a good weekend as well though Dubrovnik is definitely the better location.

    Did look at Dubrovnik.

Really wanted to do Budapest. But most carriers stop flying there in the winter so I have to fly to Amsterdam for a connecting flight or fly with wiz air from stanstead. Which is expensive and ****ing miles away.

Anyone been to Germany? As there are a couple of things on groupon for the Christmas markets?

Berlin is a great City, plenty of historical stuff to go to. Bit of a hipster vibe for the nightlife, it's a great place for young people to go out clubbing, provided you can get into the clubs. You can buy beer pretty much everywhere, even the kebab shops (which by the way have a much better standard of kebab than we get in the UK) and its normal to see people walking around with a beer in hand. The public transport is efficient, easy to use and gets you all round the city. Been there a couple of times and always enjoyed it.

Hamburg is alright as well though I preferred Berlin. I'm told Cologne is a good place to visit.

Looking like we are going to book a hotel in Budapest. Can fly from Luton it turns out which is a bit of a jaunt but not as bad as stanstead.

Blackpools cheaper and nearer and they now do helicopter rides from your hotel but take the train home.

Bruges... you don't even need your team to be winning a Champions League game there for it to be fabulous... :)

Was going to do airbnb though I'm slightly uncomfortable being in someone else's house in a strange country.

Will do Germany at some point .
