Coming to this game now so my pessimism has been replaced by blind optimism. Think this will now be a walk over
Have to agree with Tash on this one. I think we'll struggle against a well drilled and well organised defence. It's going to be close so I'll go for a shaky, tense 7-0 to the Toon.
Business as usual from Rafa, an utterly predictable and easy 2 or 3 -0 win. Goals around the 25th and 61st minute. We might even nick a third around the 82nd minute. In the words of, ABBA, " I had a... Dream...."
I'm really hoping we give them a good hammering - one of our board directors is a massive Ipswich fan and I've got a meeting with him on Tues But knowing my luck this will be the week we decide to let things slide a bit.......
If anyone fancies a bet, here's a few worth sticking on - Their top scorer (ward) + 0-1 to them is 110/1. LOL. The ultra hype and confidence surrounding us and the bookies and everyone thinking we're going to destroy them + Ipswich being solid defensively... This has 0-1 defeat in the shadow of possibility at least. I stuck a quid on ward + 0-1 A quid on 0-2 ipswich and 0-1 ipswich at 50/1 + 12/1. Insurance bets bitches. Gayle + 1-0 to us = only 8/1. Gayle hatrick only 5/1.
Wonder why 1-0 Ipswich and Ward scorer is 100-1. Might have something to do with the likliehood of it happening. Not impossible but unlikely. Guess where Bookies make most money.
Ward is their top scorer but the bookies see how well we're doing and see how few Ipswich score and assume it's very unlikely. We've been the strong favourites in every game we've lost so far.
It's okay I'll be even more sick if it happens. 1. We'd have lost. 2. As you say it's only £1 3. Chippy will go on and on about it. 4. I could have but didn't bother.
People have called me negative for years, however I've always argued I just say what I see and feel vindicated to done degree given we did sell our best players and get relegated. The same applies today in that I say what I see and what I see is us winning this game easily and without a doubt we will win the league this season.
Strange, we only sell our "best" players who are ****e now. I hate myself for even thinking it, but I think Ashley is turning our club into a force now, albeit with a little help from Rafa.
