There are other results that have interest. UKIP lost council seat in medway and were overtaken by tories and labour.

UKIP are dead. They achieved what they set out to achieve and too many people now realise they were duped and lied to for the party to remain relevant. There will always be the radical hard core right who will support UKIP but come the general elections they will vote Tory.

It shows, to me anyway, that people are looking for something different, something more centrist.

They've had enough of the far right antics of Davis, Fox, and complete loons, like Rees-Mogg. And the far left Labour Party under Corbyn has no appeal for the majority either.

So, just when you thought the Lib-Dems were dead and buried!.....

Reality is most leave voters remain just that.

I doubt the majority will base their general election vote on a referendum vote from 4 years previous. You're also implying, again, that the referendum vote was a left v right issue.

When it comes to the election, the unemployable who voted leave because they blame immigrants for their situation are unlikely to vote Tory. They probably won't vote UKIP either as they will blame that party for the fact that their situation hasn't improved but actually worsened (note: there is always blame).

The Tory business types who voted Remain as they understood the inevitable impact on the economy will still vote Tory.

    No I'm not.

I'm simply stating that the idea chaired by many that leavers regret voting leave is not true.

Its liberal nonsense to back up their argument.

It's true that most are unchanged in their view but a recent poll showed 6% now wish they hadn't voted leave, while 2% wish they hadn't voted remain.

Not that it affects the decision, but it does reflect a changing mood to what Brexit might represent.

Fair enough buts its not the picture painted by many remainers <ok>

There will always be anxiety in a situation like we have now where nothing yet has firmly changed.

I know a few who do already (no I am not going to post their names, photos and home numbers <laugh>) and when the election comes around a few more will as the crappy pound and rise in cost of living will have them seething. As I said, certain people always need to have someone to blame, whether that's the immigrants or the government or someone else.

Besides, I didn't say Leavers regretted their vote, I said UKIP was dead as a party. Even their potential leadership candidates agree. One lasted a few days in office, another left the party after being beaten up by a colleague! <laugh>

Nothing with regards to our position in Europe has changed but the economy has already changed significantly which is now starting to have a knock on effect for the public. That's what's going to piss some of them off, especially when the Romanian family next door are still here and still better off because they're still choosing to work over relying on hand outs.

What the **** does liberalism have to do with whether or not leave voters regret our votes?

    Liberal nonsense?
And how would anything liberal, be nonsense?

    liberal
    ˈlɪb(ə)r(ə)l/

    adjective
    1. 1.
willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas.
      "liberal views towards divorce"
    2. 2.
(of education) concerned with broadening a person's general knowledge and experience, rather than with technical or professional training.
"the provision of liberal adult education"
      synonyms: wide-ranging, broad-based, general, humanistic
"the provision of liberal adult education"
How could either of those definitions be classed as a bad thing?
Trying to use "liberal" as an insult <laugh>

    "You ****ing understanding person, you!"
"I think you're a complete and total utter ****ing, accepting individual mate!"

    <laugh>

    Basically :1980_boogie_down:

I'm interchanging between wumming and serious comments on here. It is a football forum after all.

Left wing would be marginally more applicable. The remainer folk I know are of a left wing persuasion but obviously that's a generalisation.

Depends on peoples reason(s) for voting leave or remain :emoticon-0148-yes:

She's just making a laughing stock out of herself and her Gvt.

Mind you, she and most of her current cabinet are laughable!
