As I'm sure many of you are aware, today is the 20th anniversary of one of the most legendary games in NUFC history. What a game and what a team. Worth taking a look at the highlights one more time and tipping your cap to The Entertainers.
I was only 4 when it happened. My dad was a steward at the game. He says the only atmosphere better was the 3-2 vs Barca.
I was 23 and I popped into the local Toon friendly pub for a quick pint and to see how we were getting on.............. every time we scored the well known local hard nut, loon job jumped up and gave me a big bear hug and shook me about a bit............. the shakes becoming more vigorous as the game went on and the score mine went up................... great day.
19, at uni, virtually no chance of getting a ticket to the match due to it being a period when the ground was basically all season ticket (which I couldn't afford) and 10000+ waiting list, so watched it at home on TV. I can't say it diminished my enjoyment of the match though. Marvellous times.
It's like how everyone remembers where they were when JFK was shot. We all remember where we were when Newcastle played well that one time in our lifetimes.
Indeed I'm now a responsible adult with a child who only enjoys the odd glass of wine. Typing that was utterly depressing. I much preferred getting tanked and humping some little strumpet.
Start them young to build up a tolerance. It ensures they don't go radge when they get on it at a later date. Out of the box thinking. Or is it off my box thinking? **** it who cares, she's a happy drunk at 8.
Nope! No foreplay, nothing, not even a stroke of my hair afterwards................... I felt dirty for weeks!!!
