Does anyone know why these boards have got a lot quieter? I swear the boards of most of the main clubs were quite active when a few years ago when i was more of a lurker. Even the Pool board is a lot quieter than of old.
Two reasons: 1) 50% of all posts on not 606 used to come from Gerrez before he got busted at work. 2) Occasionally posters leave, but we almost never attract new forum members. Numbers of active posters dwindling over time. Personally, I suspect the draconian merging of any two threads on a similar topic kind of kills the discussion here. Take for example the transfer thread, unless you actively monitor it every day you've no idea what they're talking about in there. If "Suarez to resign for Liverpool this summer" was a separate thread it would get more response.
Bloodyy mods ruining all the fun. Dont nut agree on transfers though.. go look at United board during transfer window, boards a nightmare with the only threads new ones about every player and pushes all others off the front page, not good especially during Jan when still have matches being played.
I think multi threads on same player is bad but one per transfer target is acceptable. If, like me, you're sometimes gone for a few days, some of the mega threads can be daunting to get back into. I also hate how many stickies we have a thread should sink or swim on its own merit.
that cap was all for show. they grabbed him to prevent any future england issues. i think he's decent but kent is further along so the lad has some work to do. IF we think about it... ojo, kent, wilson.. all similar. If one comes through really i will be happy.
This is shame about having no EL. No chance to give an odd sub appearance to players like Ojo and Wilson. Wilson is captain of the under 23s so seems to have bit of character. That cap for Wales at 16 probably didn't help as our huge pressure on him. Be be nice to have couple more come through from youth, not had any come and stay in last few years.
There is a problem on the system with new sign ups and changing passwords. Mick's been fixing it for about six months so far. Means we can lose people but newbies find it difficult to join
