He's been abroad one other time apart from when he went to buy his wife and her daughter.

Why assume that the litter was thrown by someone with a job?

    Odd logic

People on benefits get the blame for something they're hardly responsible for.

There's orders of magnitude more money lost to the system to tax avoidance and fiddles.

The minimum wage us counter productive, as it puts less money into the system, compunded by wealthier folk hoarding assets.

Increase the minimum wage and there's an incentive to work. Peoplecat the bottom spend cash, so the economy starts moving. It's being done in a number of American Citis.

Paying someone to do nothing, and then bringing someone else in and paying them to do it is illogical.

    Yep.

In fairness the living wage should have some impact when it gets to the £9 level. However, everyone knows that it'll be accompanied by a reduction in tax credits for those with kids, so it's just the Govt reducing their SC budget ultimately, albeit it will create a wave of increases up the chain. The downside to that is that someone will have to pay for it, and that person will be consumer, and it'll create inflation.

Receive with the left hand, give back with the right.

How they think people can live on the minimum wage is beyond me.

You added a reference to wealth in a sentence that simply didn't require it.

Litter is chucked by people who have no respect for their environment

It was required. Your reference to work wasn't.

    It wasn't.

Having more respect for the litter picker than the person who lobbed it, would have sufficed.

    Adding 'wealthier' was unecessary

I'll decide what's required in the points I make ta. It's tedious enough responding to your attempts to spin them. It was required.

Your reference to street cleaning being demeaning was far less relevant.

    Whatever.

So making the unemployed sweep the streets wouldn't be potentially demeaning? **** off.

Fair enough, but a worker on the min wage will never get a mortgage with or without tax credits.

They're being paid to do it and are doing it by choice you daft twat.

If you lost your job (highly likely) and couldn't find work for 6 months or so, would you relish the thought of sweeping the streets for your dole money?
