Yes look at Sweden, one of the places in the world with the highest benefits and one of the lowest prison populations. Let's have their system by all means

There are parts of the country where there simply aren't enough jobs. There are plenty of people also stuck in an unemployment/benefits trap where they're worse off when in work. Blame "the system" for that.

In Pete's world they should all be begging on the streets.

You cant get away from the fact that people have a different attitude in places like Germany and Scandinavia.
I used to visit Finland a lot and the train stations were empty a few minutes before a train was due. People would turn up a minute before the timetable said a train was due and exactly on time the train would arrive.

The capitalist system requires an amount of unemployment to function correctly. No unemployment and those pesky workers will all want more money. We can't have that now can we as there will be less for our hardworking, diligent and caring bankers. Therefore paying them a small sum for being unemployed keeps the system going.

But you don't seem to understand the cause and effect. Treat people like people and they respond. Think of them as scroungers, refugees etc and they respond in the opposite way. If we become a more caring society then more people will care and we will get happiness instead of fear.

    what's wrong with refugees?
    I am against economic migrants
refugees are best looked after as near to their homeland as safely possible
I dont automatically think of "people" as scroungers. As Theresa May would say: Scroungers are scroungers"
The only fear is that of Labour MPs being attacked by left wing loonies.

A convenient philosophy. No refugees in Britan unless Ireland suffers a famine or goes to war.

Why do you have a problem with people coming to this country to work and thus add to our economy?

Especially when your company name is the same as your own name and the company website includes your wife's name, her daughter's name and your home address. It's an invitation for people to cause mischief.

Any label is bad, takes away people's individuality. Anyway economic migrants should be a good thing to a capitalist.

I've more respect for the poor people that clean it up, than a wealthier slob that threw the rubbish down
