Thank you. There is a world of fantastic music out there. And then there is Jazz. Maybe if there were better definitions it would help. Perhaps Jazz is too much of an all encompassing word for a genre that spans a wide variety of styles. All I know is that Cleo Laine makes me want to take up arms and kill.
How is that thick? I don't like Jazz, I'm not lying and it isn't something I've said to goad Jazz lovers into a frenzy of beel. Can you not get it into your skunk-addled excuse for a brain that some people have an opinion other than yours? I could bore you to death about how Jazz musicians make too much use of minor pentatonic scales, modal Phrygian chords and the like but simply put it is the audio equivalent of sweet and sour. I don't pretend to have better taste in music than anyone else and I'm happy to agree that some of the stuff I listen to is quite sh*t as far as most are concerned but Jazz makes my teeth grind, it is the equivalent of dragging nails down a blackboard.
I have yet to find a music genre that i can claim i don't like. I can't say i don't like this or that because there is always something that is good within that genre.
Try having Heart on the radio on a 7 hour drive with the family, by the end of the journey if you hear another f*cking Club Classic you will want to stab kittens.
And lastly, a little gospel/jazz. If you don't like the preceding tunes you are a sick puppy and the BBQ TONGS have your card marked. niiice.
The only thing I'd dig would be a great big hole to drop all those Jazz records into. You must have heard of my band Eric Hates Jazz?
It isn't but others have referred to me as Eric on here, sounded better than Grove Hates Jazz (not by much though)
