Both could as valuable as each other this season. Personally, id keep Lucas over Aqua anyday. Mainly due to Lucas being our best defensive midfielder
Humm. I don't know. If we realy want to push on to top 3 I think we have to get better than Lucas. Perhaps they aren't like for like, but I think Aqua is a better quality player.
Yeah but defensively Aqua is nowhere near Lucas. I think we've badly missed Lucas this pre-season, hence letting in 3 goals each game.
True Aqua isn't defensive. I just think for Aqua to stay, one has to go. Perhaps Lucas isn't the wisest choice at this point in time, but still some time in the next year or 2 we will have to find better imo.

Lucas has improved so much since he came here and he's only going to get better. I don't see why there is even an arguement about having him in the team? It's either him or Spearing as our defensive midfielder and one is in the Brazil team and the other is a good squad player...
Didn't work. I'd proabably start with Gerrard and Adam in the centre. Perhaps i'm being harsh on Lucas - I do rate him, but not convinced he is a top 3 player.
He has just come back from injury, as has Skrtyl and Wilson. None of them have trained enough so are not involved today
Adam can't defend and Gerrard isn't disciplined enough to just sit back. He'll make runs forward and leave the midfield completely empty and easily overrun, especially if we are playing against a team with 3 in the middle.
Read what the link is Hopefully, in a couple of seasons time Gerrards age will force him to be our DM. Until then Lucas is more than good enough imo
