Currently watching the World Cup qualifier between Australia and Japan - I think I'll send a suggestion for a rule change to FIFA . They should put the goal posts at either side of the pitch instead of at each end - all I'm seeing is the ball being crossed across and back again...
The days of just getting the ball into the area at the first chance of asking are long gone! Everyone tries to be the new Barca or Arsenal.. Eg - trying to score the perfect team goal. All about those possession stats now.. Trouble is very few teams have an attack like those sides! It's like everyone seems to play one up front - even England, the Scots and Welsh did against moderate opposition over the weekend!
Ah well - it looks like another World Cup finals series without Scotland.... I wonder how long Strachan will keep his job?

Hopefully he will just get on with it. I was always uneasy about this case as it struck me that he was being made a scapegoat of sorts. That is not to say that cases like this are not hard and traumatic enough for the women involved but it was the action of the process not the process itself that was at fault. We must not make it harder for women to seek and obtain justice where it is deserved as a result.
Interesting comment on The Last Leg last night. Apparently, the father of his girlfriend paid for his defence, so at the very best, he was trying to prove that Evans cheated on his daughter legally instead of illegally!
