Off to a great start... flight delayed by an hour... which means will miss my connecting flight in Munich
Yeah trying not to get too downhearted, well yet at least. Just going to have to assess the situation once in Munich I suppose. As it stands I'll have 15 minutes to get off the plane, grab my boarding pass and board the next one
Right i'll be boarding my flight shortly so fingers crossed for a delay the other end In meantime the next flight to Milan from Munich is to Malpensa (which is miles away from where I'm staying), can someone check bus/train times(and fares!) from there to city centre please... I will be grateful forever!!
There is a shuttle bus leaving Malpensa for Milan Central Station every 20 mins. 10 euros one way with Malpensa Shuttle. Edit: looks like it takes 40 mins, but the actual timetable is a pig to read.
Til about 1.20am from what I can gather. There are trains as well, 13 euro. Good luck. Off out for a bit (a first date for this 55 year old divorced man), then back home to pack. Up at 4.00am tomorrow, 6.35 flight from London City airport. God I'm nervous. About everything.
I'm on one of those coaches now...as soon as you exit terminal one there is a row of buses facing you and the number one bus goes straight to Milano centrale train station. He charged me €8 Euro and said it would take 45 minutes. Like Archers said it's cheaper than the train and you don't have to walk far. The guy selling the tickets is not happy with Southampton as our draw in Israel cost him a few hundred € on his accumulator
Well it's 3:45am and I'm at Heathrow for my 6:45 flight. Security doesn't open till 5, so even though I've checked in online I'm sitting in Nero, bored. Bit like this week's Red Monday [emoji4]. Still, no more sleeps (well maybe a quick one on the plane) and Milan here I come! Looking forward to a nice wine and a bit of breakfast once I can go past security [emoji4]

Actually, I may have mentioned that my flight/hotel was booked through Expedia. I also may have mentioned that it was cheaper to take the business class flight than the economy (£384 return including hotel). Well, the nice touch is that I was in the fast track security and am now sitting in the Etihad business class lounge in terminal 4 free of charge, having a lovely merlot and about to have breakfast. I could get used to this European Tour [emoji6][emoji485]⚽️[emoji634]
