    In other news,
If the government loses court case then it could end up with the European Court of Justice deciding whether the Government can trigger article 50 without a vote in parliament.
Quite ironic that a body that will no longer have any power post Brexit could decide whether the government can trigger Brexit.

The latest I'm hearing is that a decision is expected within 2 weeks.

It will undoubtedly go to the Supreme Court on appeal. A decision there is expected by the end of the year.

One if the options for the Supreme Court is to refer it on. Which would be amusing and drive europhobes up the wall.

Yes, it would be a delicious irony. But dare the Supreme Court do that in the circumstances?

It would be the ultimate irony if the Gvt lost in the Supreme Court and then had nowhere to go but to appeal to the European court. <laugh>

Of those wanting to delay it lose in the supreme Court, would the European Court be an option if we invoke article 50?

It means what it says, we leave the EU.

We may well still adopt a few of the EU measures if we choose to.

    We should definitely do that.
In all this Anti EU bluster, we should also stop to remember that the EU did some good things.
Shame it had to go to ****, but there are always one or two greedy ****ers (MEPs) who have to take it too far and ruin everything.
The EU got too big for its boots, was the problem.
