I suppose somebody has to put a positive spin on things. Why the frig can't we just close games out. So frustrating particularly when dropping points to teams below us.

Grimes was neat and tidy. To be honest I think if Monk knew he was going to get O'Kane then he probably wouldn't have signed him. Has a role to play this season but he won't be here after that I'm my opinion.

Mowatt's problem is that his touch has to be 100% perfect, otherwise the ball gets away from him slightly and he doesn't have the pace to get there before someone gets a foot in. His touch was less than perfect.

You have to have a bit of zip about your game to stand out at this level especially in the midfield areas. O'Kane and Bridcuttt have it and will be our central pairing as soon as Bridcutt is fit.

In the wider areas you need real pace and Sacko is turbo charged. Somehow we have to get him fit enough to last 90 mins because he would have been perfect to hit them on the counter when they were pushing for the equalizer near the end.

Instead we had Mowatt wading through treacle, Grimes wide one side who doesn't have the pace and a knackered Roofe on the other.

In other news...once the chip shop queue made it inside the ground it was a decent attendance for a midweek game.

Mowattt got to play in his best position but was shyte, so bye bye from me you fatfuck. Grimes out of position but was ok but we needed Sacko running at them, not Grimes allowing them onto us. No ideas as usual and we should have killed it iff in the first half. Bench has no quality well not enough

Do we think that Monk probably learned a few things from that game? Hopefully about Mowatt but also a couple other things.

Its ****ing hard to swallow to be honest. If we held out we woulda been 9th, 1 point off top 6. The last two games I think have been quite harsh on us. I really just hope this doesn't affect our confidence going into a very tough period of fixtures. These Bridcutt and Dallas injuries I think are starting to hurt, perhaps shows a lack of squad depth but all teams that get promoted from this league tend to get lucky with lack of injuries to some extent.

Wee bit dramatic IMO, Josh. Would Bridcutt or Dallas have prevented that equaliser? NO. Would either of them have provided a goal or assist to win the match? UNLIKELY, based on previous efforts. By all accounts, Phillips & Roofe have done quite well in covering for the injured 2. Perhaps not first choice starters, but good to have as backup.

No, they wouldn't have necessarily impacted this particular game but they are still both important players (you can't say they wouldn't have impacted, they are our first choice for a reason). I'm more thinking of the season and I'm also thinking if they were fit players like Mowatt would find it hard to even get on the bench. I look at our bench currently and think we don't have a game changer on there, it looks different when our first choice team is out on the pitch.
