One thing which is really, really getting me Stoke/ proud/ maybe even teary, is that at at least one point in the match, oh when the saints go marching in will echo round the San Siro. Madness.
I felt like that at the Prague home game when OWTSGMI was bellowed out. I has a thought of what we have been through and got goosebumps. I think I will feel more so on Thursday.
Never in my wildest (and weirdest) dreams, would I have imagined Sammy the Saint waltzing around Milan. Utter madness.
I've been thinking all day and getting goosebumps unbelievable. Thank you Markus, just where would we be without you big man.
SFC would be a footnote in history, and Markus Liebherr would have been a Swiss-German entrepreneur engineer who barely anyone in the UK would have heard of. Funnily enough, as he helped develop the Common Rail Diesel engine, I would probably have got round to reading his name, as I did several years ago, a few months after bought the club. However, had he not done so, his name probably wouldn't have made an impression upon me. I also have to doff my hat to Nicola Cortese. Without him saying, " Hey Markus, I've found something that might interest you.", nothing would have happened. It was him that pointed Markus in our direction when he could have pointed him in any other. BTW, did you know that Nicola had been following the fortunes of the club for a couple of years already, before July 2009.?
