He can't even count to three. You know how far Utd have fallen when the sum total of their ambition is to come to Anfield and play for a draw - even when the game was theirs for the taking early on.
It's great, Mourinho's comments surrounding this game and the Stoke game are reminiscent of Van Gaal just when everyone was starting to turn against him #notactics #fraud #exposed
You should be honoured, as Mourinho only plays that way when he goes to face challengers away from home. In talking about buses being parked, I think you're forgetting the first half when they controlled the game for 30 minutes and you never got a sniff. Their 'bus' was parked in your half for most of that period. Second half they ended up backing right off and had settled for a point.
Aye, a back handed compliment.. When we're ****e because the opposition were better, I'll call it.. but I don't think that was the case in the first half of the first half.. We were nervous and sloppy and not by their doing, they feed off that and should have scored, 30mins onwards, we came back into the game, from then on, as you say, they reverted to the initial plan and just packed the defence and midfield. We couldn't break them down, not their fault, we needed to be a bit more patient and creative and maybe change the formation slightly, but credit, begrudgingly, where its due, they came for a point at worst and got it!
perfect summary. however you will not be having handbrake on against TP et al. Klopp was cautious because it was Jose.
It is. Attack us and we win. Defend against us and you may get 1point, maybe even 3. The goal is to get as many points from us as possible. Best way to get max points from us is to park the bus. It's our Achilles heel.
I don't agree about the first half mate, I think they bossed the midfield and tactically it was perfect. They were winning every second ball and Hererra and Fellaini were first to everything. The only thing they didn't do was capitalise on it. I thought Zlatan had a poor game throughout and Pogba didn't assert himself in the 10 role.
We didn't really go at them in the first half. Of course they had a spell of controlling the game...as did we. How often do you see teams going at it for the whole 90 mins without letting the other team have a spell? That first half they controlled it and we were quite comfortable letting them do so because they were hardly a threat.
Maybe mate.. my "call it has it is" may not be 100% accurate when playing the Manc's.. But, agreed, they were compact in midfield and won the 50/50s early on which meant we could get any possession or rhythm going..
You didn't have a go at them, as you couldn't get and then retain the ball mate, and that was due to their pressing and tactics
And us being sloppy and ****, couldn't string a couple of passes together, bullied off the ball. They weren't that intense in the pressing, just strong. On the ball they were average too.
The only team who took max points off us were Burnley, you need to get the goal before you park the bus. Man Utd have the highest paid strike force in the country and failed to do what every team other than Burton and Derby managed this season.
We still didn't look troubled even when they had the ball and were camped in our half though. Considering our defence was meant to be terrible you'd think with all that domination they'd cause more of a threat really.
Despite having the ball they didn't over commit, never got behind your fullbacks and created little as a result. It was a disappointing game thoughout really, certainly didn't live up to its hyped Sky billing that's for sure.

Mourinho said appointing Taylor for the game had put "pressure" on the Manchester-based official. Managers are not supposed to speak about referees prior to matches. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37692378 The Portuguese, 53, has until Friday to offer a response, which will then be considered by the FA. Monday's game finished 0-0. Former referee Howard Webb told BBC Radio 5 live that Mourinho should be "taken to task" by the FA. "It's one thing someone from Manchester or Liverpool taking to social media, a fan commenting, but for a coach to do this when he knows the rules then there should be some action taken against him," added Webb. "Focusing the attention on a referee is simply mind games and trying to gain an
yeah Firmino shocking on that one on one, Valenica came from a yard behind and tackled him. thought that was a goal.
