They are completely convinced, but it's good for me as I've studied fish eye lensing, dark frame correction, solar/lunar orbits, coriolis effect, tidal magnetism, antarctic expeditions, refraction, gravity and various other concepts that are easy to pretend you understand until challenged.

If you look at the world created in gods image, it seems to point to god being female, and creating a lot of the nastiness, disease and ailments on a monthly cycle. God's testing us, even though god knows everything including our thoughts. A female trait if ever their was one.

The fact that you vilify folk for being told what to do and how to live. Yet you have been indoctrinated all your life with your environment. Lived the life your parents chose for you. Told to believe things half the world thinks is a load of cobblers.

I never understand people who think they don't get told how to live. We all do.

Most can prove their parents exist though.

    Yes, of course!

Merely pointing out that was predicted some while ago is now starting to hit home.

Until now, people haven't really felt any effects of this decision. Now they will start to.

To many, it's the same **** on a different plate. They see it as the price to pay for giving the pompous ****es a wake up call. You may as well keep posting night follows day follows night.

The are not beliefs created by their parents.

The parents are indoctrinated too..by ideals they did not set themselves. Just like yours were.

    Eh?
My whole post was saying how inherently Islam is no better or worse than Christianity.
Taken at face value, both religions are brutal.
The main difference is that there are a few countries who still adhere word for word to the Quran, not so much for the bible.
The problems in the Middle East are cultural, not religious.

I picked up your last sentence the one I highlighted and responded to it. The rest was exactly what you say and fair enough. The last bit was your opinion on someone who follows a faith. I responded to that.

As for the Middle East. Can't stand them puppets.

Well that last statement was more tongue in cheek than anything.
Would I like to see the abolishment of all organised religion? Yes.
Does it bother me enough to be all militant about it and get in peoples faces about their beliefs? No.
    I generally let people be.
Besides, studies show religion has been on the wane in Europe for the last 50 years anyway, so it's taking care of itself, without me sticking my hooter in. :)

For the sake of conversations, I'll skate over some flaws in your broader assumptions, but like many, I was raised a nominal Christian, Sunday schools etc. This gave me the opportunity to see many of the flaws with Christianity. I looked at other religions, as I still don't classify myself as an atheist.

    Each has similar flaws.

Most claim to be lead by a caring creator who has all knowing superpowers. So why test me by giving children cruel and painful diseases? Why even create these diseases? Why am I tasked to prove what God already knows?

The actions don't demonstrate a loving god.

These thoughts are not from my parents, society or any other influence. They are self determined. I've discussed it with scholars of many different beliefs and have yet to find one that fits reality.

    Same with me mate.
Atheism is not just about not believing in God, but that on the assumption that there is a god, then does that person really deserve our undying love and devotion? No ****ing way.
If there is a god, he is a malicious, cruel, horrible prick and deserves zero of my time and respect.

I note that Theresa May said "I want Britain to be a place where advantage is based on merit not privilege; where it's your talent and hard work that matter, not where you were born, who your parents are or what your accent sounds like". I'm assuming inheritance tax will be set at 100% soon.
