This could ruin Clucas. Along with Davies I think he's been our best player this season in that DM role, but chucking him in at LB, as Tymon won't get the nod, will inevitably lead to a poor run of form, which our notoriously sympathetic fan group won't give him an inch on.

If they did we'd still have cover in CM bummers.

Disastrous transfer window. Which i said at the time.
    Phelan got who he wanted.

Agree absolutely. Also think he is playing too well in midfield to now be pushed into a LB role. Might be forced to play 3-5-2 and I do think Clucas could play left wing back.

No, letting a talented young lad have an opportunity to play first team Premier League football is absurd.

What we should do is let them fester in the academy for as long as possible then release them. Yeah, that'll do the trick.

I mean, look at Luke Shaw. He was brought into the Southampton first team at 17 and played 25 games in the 2012/13 season and he's been utter ****; his career's gone backwards.

    Josh Tymon isn't Luke Shaw.

We just shipped six goals, the last thing we should be doing is risking a 17 year old with no experience who isn't even looking great for the U23's this season.

No, Josh Tymon is Josh Tymon.

Currently of a higher pedigree than Luke ****ing Shaw was at this stage in his career.

Luke Shaw was a first team Premier League player when he was 17, Josh Tymon isn't, unless he starts being one on Saturday.

Did Luke Shaw play in a first team game at the emirates when he was 16?

    Tymon is better.

On what basis did Phelan get who he wanted. Bruce was quoted in July as saying that he'd missed all his first choice targets as they'd gone elsewhere. Phelan later said the same thing after Bruce left. The players we signed were 4th, 5th choice, god knows how far down the list.

I'm sure since then he's said they're wonderful but he has to say that doesn't he.

Wasn't Ehab just going on about how refreshing our better injury record under Phelan was?

Yeah, that would be the ****ing point. Luke Shaw was given a chance by the Southampton management when he was 17 and he went on to make 25 appearances for them.

Alternatively, never give him a chance and wait until he's in his 20s and send him out on loan to Cambridge Utd like Max Clark.

Who would you rather have right now. A championship .RB or even manu's under 21 RB or weir?
Who would you rather have right now. Will Keane or a championship LB or even man u's under 21 LB?
It was ****ing obvious to some of us those two were ****ing stupid deals.
I had no problem with us not spending much money, neither should you? As you whine on about the debt. So we had to be canny. We weren't.

Now Robbo's out even more reason to now go 352, Tymon would ne too much of a risk, I would even be inclined to play Livermore in the back 3 rather than Maguire.

    Either

    Marshall
    Livermore Dawson Davies
    Snodders Mason Huddlestone Meyler Clucas
    Mbokani Hernandez.

    Or

    Marshall
    Harry Dawson Davies
    Snodders Mason Jake Huddlestone/Henrikson Clucas
    Mbokani Hernandez

2 | Weir may be an attacking midfielder by trade but he is supremely versatile. Quick, with an eye for a pass, Weir has good footballing brain and is also capable of playing on either flank, or as a more defensive-minded midfield operator. During his time in United’s Under-18s side, he was also deployed a full-back.
