    Maureen will try his best, but he just comes across as a whining prick. Fergie was actually really successful at intimidating referees, to the point where it became predictable that Utd would be shown preferential treatment.

    Can't wait! Mourinho managed to intimidate a top level CL referee into early retirement whilst at Chelsea, so now he's at a big club we should get every single decision!

    At least for the next two seasons until he falls to pieces and starts blubbering that everyone's against him of course <ok>

    Personally I don't buy that that previous greats wouldn't have made it today etc ... because quite simply they would have benefitted from all the 'advantages' that there are today too ..

    Geirge Best was blessed with phenomenal ball control, balance and speed ... a two footed Lionel Messi who was naturally quicker than Messi and far better in the air and also tackling ... George wasn't quicker than opponents because they all smoked 40 a day, drank 10 pints a night and lived off Spam and chips ... he was quicker because he was naturally quicker ... and that would stay the same if he was born in this era ... with all the advantages of modern pitches, training techniques, dietrary escience and the protection give to flair players by referees ... George would IMHO have been the world's best.
