well with 39 points up for grabs if we get similar results we could both be in the mire or solid mid table to top 6 looks like Villa Derby and possibly yourselves are going to get another 20 -26 points before we play you again.. there are a couple of "weaker" teams at the top end of ten that will drop down .. I can see you at about 10th or 11th ... city about 8th /9th
No malice intended at all fella. Just enjoying the victory as much as I'm sure most of you would had the shoe been on the other foot . All joking aside, you boys have done great so far this season and if you keep it up, Fridays victory for us will prove to be a very good win.
1. Better than Fiday night? Why not? We're starting from virtually rock bottom and that may just be the start. 2. About 35-40% better. That would probably be enough to see a vast change of our table position. 3. It was our worst performance of the season so far I said on another thread, maybe we just made you look bad, or can't you bear the thought of that?
A significant proportion of Bristol City fans would not want Neil Warnock in charge of BCFC. A significant proportion of Bristol City fans are very happy with the status quo here of Mr Lansdown owning BCFC and the stadium. Views which are not clouded by results. Bristol City is safe with Mr Lansdown. Very safe.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...into-t/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter wouldn't surprise me.
Fck me, I realise it now - that's why you lost on Friday.......... Can't you lot find anything else to discredit him - like Clifton's 3 year old article about Tan and try passing it off as current news. Oh, hang on a minute, that lot is about as watertight as your defence was on Friday.
Robert Sullivan, the FA's director of strategy, who was also giving evidence, said no action had been taken because there has been no "hard evidence". Puncheon was fined £15,000 by the FA and apologised for his comments. ... Surprising.
'Fck me, I realise it now - that's why you lost on Friday' Sparkey, You won Friday because your manager was better than ours. Junior set up wrong and gave you something to hold, perfect for Warnock's tactics. Seem it's happened every game but up to now we've managed to get out of jail, not Friday. Not having a go at Warnock, in your position he gauged it perfectly. Allowed us all the possession, we didn't have a clue. Junior hung out Tammy to dry. With no support Bamba 'murdered' him. Hope it hasn't affected the kid's confidence or Chelsea's view of how we handle great prospects.
There is no need to discredit Mr Tan. His history will always be current. Mr Tan was and still is ridiculous.
If we're talking "ridiculous" here, there's nothing more ridiculous than this post. It smacks of a deep seated bias that feeds off old news in the attempt to justify that bias. The past can't be undone, and there are things that Tan should not have done and would not have done if he any great understanding of the "football culture" in the UK and particularly at Cardiff at the time. Unfortunately, there are those who latch on to anything historically adverse to support their entrenched views. Understanding the past is the only way to forge a future, and that is clearly what Tan is trying to do. Those who choose to quote the past and try to pass it off as current are quite pathetic and far more "ridiculous" than Tan.
I think there is an attempt here to indicate that what Mr Tan has done in the quite recent past is no longer relevant, and that the Gent is widely respected in football. He will always be viewed as a unstable ridiculous figure in football.
Nobody said he was widely respected whatsoever, that is a complete misquote. Tan is trying to rebuild fans confidence in him and is doing all the right things currently. By the way, do you want some red seats? Free at the end of the season!!
No attempt to forget anything - we are living with it over here rather than just commenting on it like you. I suppose it depends what you mean by "the quite recent past". From what we can see, If you can't find anything current to beat him over the head with (and you can't) you resort to trawling up 3 year old stuff and posting on here. Terrible waste of forum chat space. Time you packed it up - your repetitve anti-Tan rants are all getting quite boring.
Not trying to beat anyone over the head with this but just curious, what did happen with Russell Slade in the Summer? That did all seem very strange to an outsider
Slade was clearly taken on by Tan to a specific job - sort out and sell off some high earners from the Prem year and just keep us in the Championship. That was never said as fact but it is a fair assumpton from most of those who take an interest in the club. At the end of last season, it was clear that although Slade was unlikely to take us down this year, he was not the man to take the club forward. He was moved upstairs as "head of football" whatever that meant and his No. 2 Trollope was disastrously deemed as the best choice to succeed him basing it on the flawed assumption that "continuity" would be best. Slade didn't last long in that position and it is pretty certain that his brief was a face saving exercise and he was invited to find another club in the summer which he did - Charlton took him off our hands and he's gone back to League 1 with them - probably his true level. As it turned out, the cosy astmosphere on the playing side of the club was just that - too cosy with no drive or direction. One of the issues that kept Trollope so long (only 11 games) was his involvement with the successful Wales Euro performances in the summer. That carried him for the first couple of months of the season. It was clear it wasn't working and we had a group of players who were capable of much more collectively than Trollope was delivering. A new broom was needed and Warnock appointed. The playing side of the club needed some arse kicking and he was deemed to be the appropriate choice. That's the brief history and now we can only look forward after a good start against you lads.
