Anyone know what Inter's attendance was against Cagliari? I'm expecting there to be large swathes of empty seats on Thursday. Bad for atmos, but good for Saints. Incidentally, Inter are in turmoil. Their captain was booed off the pitch on Saturday and stripped of his captaincy due to social media comments. Ugly.
It will be interesting how they respond. If we beat them then they're effectively out... may be what they want or it may bring out a better performance.
I'd want Long to start. We need to manage Austin's game time as he has become such a key player for us. And he's working incredibly hard, he's running more than was probably ever expected of him in his career to date. I'd leave him on the bench for this one and bring him in the second half. As far as the defence is concerned. I'd go with the strongest lineup in both matches, with already two forced changes on the full back position I feel further tinkering in the back line could prove costly. In the midfield, Romeu has to start, and for other two position I'm fine with any combination, but as Hojbjerg got rested on sunday, he'll probably start.

Anyone see yesterday, when tracking back to get the ball his studs get caught in the turf, my bloody heart stopped for a few seconds! I find myself willing him not to run! Thats a first!
6700 is a hell of of an achievement in my opinion. On average that's 1 person in every 5 at St Mary's every week who are travelling to Italy on a Thursday night and most likely taking a minimum of two days off work. Great Effort. Ridiculously buzzing.
Yeah I winced badly when that happened haha. Same thing happens every time JRod goes up high for a header, I want to cover my eyes as he lands as I expect his knee to snap! Makes me realise saying that actually, I can't imagine how hard it's been getting over that fear for him.
It's on BT Sports 3, if you are able to find a TV (or a pub) showing BT Sports. Programme starts at 5:30pm, with a 6:00pm kickoff
I haven't read all the comments on here yet but I'm going to say this anyway. I would appreciate it if people going to the San Siro would refrain from going into details on their trip on this thread. I know you're all excited and so you should be! But there is a thread set up for this and I'm already extremely envious of all you lucky bastards! Now hurry up and **** off to Italy so you can't post on here!
Agreed and that's why I posted the thread. I'll still be posting from Italy though, pics & vids galore
Like LL I'll be posting from Italy vids and pics on the other thread. HOWEVER....when we win, all bets are off, alcohol will be drunk and a few of us may get a ban
