You said - I don't blame the immigrants. The issues are the system that controls entry.

So what did you actually mean?

As May's view is that we'll be reducing the number of immigrants, not merely being more choosy who lands. We'll be taking far, far less.

It's a mixture of both, the borders are an issue because we don't have autonomy. Immigrants (not all) are an issue because they take advantage and try to fall back on the welfare state and don't integrate.

By saying that you wanted to strengthen border controls? You've repeatedly stated that you support this.
What terminology would you prefer, as you seem to want to avoid issues and debate minutiae while claiming to be a victim, instead?

You want people to refer to your opinions on border controls as better? And you don't see an issue with that?

Nope. I was pointing out the error in your post. I never said stronger, I said changed.

It's not an error, it's exactly what you meant. I've no idea why you're denying it.
You want a change from a looser system with unlimited EU immigration to a system that has stronger requirements.
What's your objection to the use of the word stronger? This is really weird.

What is it with some on here that seem to think they know what I mean better than I do? I meant what I put, what you imagine is your own problem.

Your summation of the changes is off too.

Equal control on the borders, irrespective of the country of origin can be described as looser or stronger depending on your perspective. It's partly why I didn't use it.

More nonsense and more vague claims of incorrectly mischaracterisating your claims, too.
You want to increase control of the UK's borders, don't you? How is anyone going to describe that as weaker border controls?
    What a weird argument.

But I did on the one you've just made the same retort to, as you've just confirmed

    So try answering it.

So if post Brexit our net immigration ended up being the same as it is now, only via us being selective as opposed to people simply having freedom of movement, you'd be happy with that outcome?

As I'm certain Kustard and Pete wouldn't be

Increased ability to control the borders is not the same as the increased control you're desperately trying to imply.

To answer your point (not mine) If the uk had control and chose to reduce restrictions, control would be weaker.

Pete has said before that a change in that way would quite possibly lead to a net increase in immigration. He, like me saw no issue with that.
