Ched Evans- The media witch hunt continues

Personally I've always felt that footballers should be treated as any other person that works closely with the community, for example schools, elderly, hospital's, which is part of a footballers expected voluntary public face. Therefore I'm surprised by now that footballers do not have to comply as most others that work in these environments with enhanced checks. This would make it less argumentative when they apply for their positions within the professional game. After all they are paid more than most respected professions, so why should they not be seen to conduct themselves as upstanding citizens in the same light, whether guilty or innocent they tarnish the profession with their own selfish stupidity and greed. The youngster blinker quotes by Ched don't wash with me, becoming a top professional should have no forbearing on age and just goes to aggravate the shame he has already like many before him brought once again on the game. 'Respect' these ****ers don't know the meaning of the word.
