The basic reasoning all seems to be on that site, although he does say you might need to read the full judgement, research the law and analyse it all to really decide.

Maybe the point is that to convict him you have to believe beyond reasonable doubt that he's lying about what happened and that before you can say that you have to ask yourself how likely it is that he would have made up a story that pretty much exactly matches the experience of two other people at around the same time.

Unless he knew about them already? He paid out a hell a of a lot of cash for private eyes, smear campaigns etc etc. Even if she did consent the way him and his wife and his supporters have acted is disgusting. The alleged victim has had to change her name twice. It's all part of the culture we are in which needs changing badly.

The way I see it is if a girl doesn't say yes then it is a no. You shouldn't take a girl not saying anything as a yes.

You notice nowhere am I say he is guilty of rape. Only 3 people will ever know that. I am saying the guy is a utter **** tho.

Of course. I'm assuming he was questioned about what happened when he was first arrested, that his version of events has remained consistent ever since then and that the new witnesses only came forward after the first trial. I'm making that assumption because if that's not the case you'd think the prosecution would have torn the new evidence to bits.

Nobody involved comes out of this well. I don't feel that much sympathy for him. I don't really know what to think about her. Too many rumours and different versions of events going around to say much about her with any certainty.

I feel sorry for her, her life is truly ruined and Evans isn't. She will end up attempting suicide or something like that. The amount of abuse she is getting is disgusting.

Btw the use of ex sexual partners being called to give their accounts, was the first time in 30yrs! Disgusting

There is very strict law forbidding this except in exceptional circumstances. In this case, as I understand it, both testified under oath that she has asked to be 'effed harder from behind' one prior to that night and another a couple of weeks later. This is something that Evans had previously stated she said that very night so it is significant I guess. That is all they were allowed to be questioned on as far as I'm aware.

The assumption implied by his defence was that by saying 'eff me harder' she was a willing participant.

Leicester going well in the Champions League again. Leading 1-0 (Mahrez) against Copenhagen.
    Tottenham still 0-0 against Leverkusen.

Yes they've made it look easy. I thought they would struggle. Real Madrid or Barcelona next maybe, although they may miss them if they win their group.

Yes, the best of luck to Leicester City. They represent the vast majority of clubs. If they can do it, so can we. As PL Champions, Leicester have received an appalling lack of coverage.

If Costa picks up his fifth yellow against Utd this weekend, does he miss the League Cup game, or our game against them?
And, if he doesn't get booked against Utd but gets one in the cup game.....same question.

    ????? Anyone

i'm not sure about that one, I'd assume he misses 2 games. Don't worry though he won't, as much as the media love to go on about how mental Costa is, he is always in control and knows exactly what he is doing so he won't get sent off
