I'll rephrase. He was a "Convicted" rapist and now he's not. When he was convicted I called him a rapist, so I was correct wasn't I?

Using your analogy the guy would have been a "Convicted" murderer for 5 years would he not?

There is probably a list of innocent people as long as your arm with criminal convictions from when Dev was an incompetent plod.
